Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan komitmen organisasi ditinjau dari jenis kelamin pada anggota unit kegiatan mahasiswa di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif komparatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 70 orang yang merupakan anggota aktif di UKM Fakultas Psikologi UMA. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 70 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dengan total sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode Skala Likert melalui skala komitmen organisasi yang diukur dengan 3 aspek komitmen organisasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis t-test, didapatkan hasil signifikan p = 0,007 < 0,050, hal ini berarti nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh lebih kecil dari 0,050. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan rata-rata hipotetik dan empirik maka dapat diperoleh komitmen organisasi anggota lakilaki dengan SD sebesar 8,022, nilai rata-rata hipotetik sebesar 72,5 dan nilai ratarata empirik sebesar 84,59, kemudian berada pada kategori tinggi. Sedangkan komitmen organisasi anggota perempuan memiliki SD sebesar 13,650, dengan nilai rata-rata hipotetik sebesar 72,5 dan nilai rata-rata empirik sebesar 89,33, kemudian berada pada kategori tinggi. Yang berarti bahwa komitmen organisasi anggota perempuan lebih tinggi dibandingkan anggota laki-laki. This study aims to determine the differences in organizational commitment in terms of gender in the members of the student activity unit at the Faculty of Psychology, Medan Area University. This research method uses a comparative quantitative approach. The population in this study was 70 people who were active members of the UKM Faculty of Psychology UMA. The sample in this study was 70 people. Sampling techniques in this study with total sampling. Data collection uses the Likert Scale method through an organizational commitment scale which is measured by 3 aspects of organizational commitment. The data analysis technique uses the t-test analysis technique, obtained a significant result p = 0.007 < 0.050, this means that the significance value obtained is smaller than 0.050. Based on the results of the calculation of the hypothetical and empirical average, it can be obtained the organizational commitment of male members with an elementary school of 8.022, a hypothetical average value of 72.5 and an empirical average value of 84.59, then it is in the high category. Meanwhile, the commitment of women's member organizations has an elementary school of 13,650, with a hypothetical average score of 72.5 and an empirical average score of 89.33, then it is in the high category. Which means that the organizational commitment of female members is higher than that of male members.
