Abstract: | This research aimed at knowing and aknowledging contribution of teacher's persuasive communication against student's self-confidence and learning motivation. Hypothtical values those are examined in this research are 1) contribution of teacher's persuasive communication against student's self confidence 2) contribution of teacher's persuasive communication against student's learning motivation. This type orf research is quantitative one using Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA)technique in order to further explore relations between an independent variable and dependent variables. Population in this research are students on class VIII SMP Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan. In term of sorting the samples, used methode is isaac and Michael table, and as a result found 78 persons. Research instrument used us Psychological scale and Likert scale. Results of this research is shown as 1) contribution of persuasive against self-confidence, value of Sig. 0.000 < 0.05 and determination coefficient (R2) is 0.542 or 54.2%. It means there is a positive contribution between persuassive communication and self-confidence. 2) contribution of persuassive communication against learning miotivation showing that there is a positive contribution, with value of Sig. 0.000 and coefficient of determination (R2) about 0.232 or 23.2% means there is positive contribution between persuasive communication and learning motivation. From all that result, it could be concluded that this research hypothetic shown positive and significant contribution between persuasive communication and student's self-confidence and learning motivation. With α =0.05 indicating that the resuilt is empirically valid |
Description: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi komunikasi persuasif guru terhadap kepercayaan diri dan motivasi belajar siswa. Hipotesis yang diuji dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) kontribusi komunikasi persuasif guru terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa (2) kontribusi komunikasi persuasif guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan teknik analisis data Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan di antara satu variabel independent (bebas) dengan beberapa variabel dependent (terikat). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan. Untuk menentukan sampel dikembangkan dari tabel Isaac dan Michael dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 78 orang.Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah skala psikologi dengan skala likert. Hasil penelitian ini disajikan (1) kontribusi komunikasi persuasif terhadap kepercayaan diri dengan nilai Sig. 0.000 < 0.05 dan koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0.542 atau 54.2% artinya terdapat kontribusi yang positif antara komunikasi persuasif dan kepercayaan diri. (2) Kontribusi komunikasi persuasif terhadap motivasi belajar menunjukkan adanya kontribusi yang positif antara komunikasi persuasif terhadap motivasi belajar dengan nilai Sig. 0.000 dan koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0.232 atau 23.2% artinya terdapat kontribusi yang positif antara komunikasi persuasif dan motivasi belajar. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis penelitian terdapat kontribusi yang positif dan signifikan antara komunikasi persuasif dengan kepercayaan diri dan motivasi belajar pada α = 0,05 secara empiris teruji kebenarannya. |
