dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan self efficacy siswa/I di SMA N 4 Padangsidimpuan. Dukungan sosial yaitu dukungan pada seseorang dalam menghadapi masalah, sedangkan self efficacy yaitu keyakinan individu mengenai kemampuan dirinya dalam melakukan tugas ataupun tindakan yang diperlukan untuk mencapai hasil yang diharapkan. Penelitin ini menggunakan tipe penelitian corelasional yang melibatkan populasi sebanyak 180 dan sampel 90 siswa yang diambil dengan teknik Simpe Random Samoling. Pengambilan data menggunakan dua skala yaitu skala self efficacy dan skala dukungan sosial dengan memakai uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial dengan self efficacy pada siswa kelas XI dengan koefisien (Rxy) = 0.618 dengan p = 0.000 < 0.050, artinya hipotesis yang menyatakan bahwa ada hubungan positif dan signifikan dukungan sosial dengan self efficacy diterima. Begitu juga dengan nilai koefisien determinan (R2) pada siswa kelas XI yang memiliki nilai 0.414, hal ini setara dengan 41.4%, artinya bahwa dukungan sosial berkontribusi terhadap self efficacy, dan sisanya 58,6% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain seperti, pengalaman keberhasilan, pengalaman orang lain,persuasi verbal, dan juga keadaan emosional. This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and student selfefficacy at SMA Negri 4 Padangsidimpuan. Social support is support for someone in dealing with problems, while self-efficacy is an individual's belief about his ability to carry out tasks or actions needed to achieve the expected results. This study uses a correlational research type using a population of 180 and a sample of 90 students with using the Simpe Random Sampling. self-efficacy and social support scale data using Pearson's product moment correlation data analysis method. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between social support and self-efficacy in class XI students with a coefficient (Rxy) = 0.618 with p = 0.000 < 0.050, meaning that the hypothesis which states that there is a positive and significant relationship between social support and self-efficacy is accepted. Likert with the value of the determinant coefficient (R2) in class XI students who have a value of 0.414, this is equivalent to 41.4%, meaning that social support contributes to selfefficacy, and the remaining 58.6% is influenced by other factors such as success experience, experience others, verbal persuasion, and emotional.en_US
