Hubungan antara Celebrity Worship dengan Citra Tubuh pada Remaja Putri Penggemar K-Pop Di SMA Negeri 1 Kuala

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara celebrity worship dengan citra tubuh pada remaja putri penggemar K-Pop. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 58 siswi kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Kuala, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling. Sejalan dengan pembahasan yang terdapat di dalam landasan teori, maka hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu apakah ada hubungan negatif antara celebrity worship dengan citra tubuh pada remaja putri penggemar K-Pop di SMA Negeri 1 Kuala. Dengan asumsi bahwa semakin tinggi celebrity worship pada siswi kelas XI penggemar K-Pop maka semakin rendah citra tubuhnya, Demikian sebaliknya, semakin rendah tingkat celebrity worship pada siswi kelas XI penggemar K-Pop maka semakin tinggi citra tubuhnya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan skala Likert. Untuk menguji Hipotesis yang diajukan dilakukan dengan koefisien korelasi rxy = -0.269 dengan signifikan p = 0.000 p < 0.05. Artinya ada hubungan antara celebrity worship dengan citra tubuh. Jadi antara kedua variabel ada hubungan sebab akibat. Dari hasil yang diperoleh ini, maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan, diterima. This study aims to examine the correlation between celebrity worship and body image of young woman who are fans of K-Pop. The sample in this study was 58 students of class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Kuala, with the sampling technique using simple random sampling. In line with the discussion contained in the theoretical basis, the hypnothesis proposed in this study is wheather there is a negative correlation between celebrity worship and body image among young K-Pop fans in SMA Negeri 1 Kuala. Assuming that the higher the celebrity worship for students of classs XI who are K-Pop fans, the lower their body level image. Data was collected using a Likert scale. To test the proposed hypothesis, the correlation coefficient rxy = -0,269 with a significant p = <0,05. This means that there is a correlation between celebrity worship and body image. So there is a causal correlation between the two variables. From the results obtained, it can be stated that the proposed hypothesis is accepted.
