dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini dilakukan di kebun percobaan fakultas pertanian Universitas Medan Area, Kecamatan Medan Tembung, Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara pada bulan Maret sampai dengan Mei 2021.Penelitian menggunakan rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial, dengan 2(dua)faktor Perlakuan yaitu:1) faktor kompos batang pisang dengan notasi (P) yang terdiri dari 4taraf yaitu P0= tanpa kompos ( Kontrol ); P1= kompos batang pisang 5 Ton/ Ha (0.5 kg/ m2); P2= kompos batang pisang 10 Ton/Ha (1kg/m2); P3= kompos batang pisang 15 Ton/Ha(1.5 kg/m2), dan 2). Faktor tanah galian parit (K) terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu: K0= tanah top soil ; K1= tanah galian parit 1.6 kg dan top soil 3.4 kg; K2 = tanah galian parit 2.5 kg dan tanah top soil 2.5 kg; P3 = tanah galian parit 3.4 kg dan tanah top soil 1.6 kg. Setiap perlakuan di ulang sebanyak 2(dua) kali sehingga di dapatkan 32 plot percobaaan, parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah: tinggi tanaman (cm), luas daun (cm2), jumlah helai daun, berat produksi per tanamn sampel (g), berat produksi per plot (kg). Pemberian kompos batang pisang tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, luas daun, jumlah helai daun,tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap berat produksi per tanaman sampel, berat produksi per plot. Pemberian bekas tanah galian parit tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, luas daun, jumlah helai daun, berat produksi per tanaman sampel, berat produksi per plot. The research was conducted in the experimental Garden of the Medan Area University, Medan Tembung District, Medan City, North Sumatra in March – May 2021. The study used a factorial randomized block design (RAK),with two treatment factors,namely:1) banana stem compost factor with the notasi (P) which consists of four levels, namely P0= no compost (Control); P1= banana stem compost 5 tons/ ha (0.5kg/m2); P2= banana stem compost 10 tons/ha (1 kg/m2); P3 = banana stem compost 15 tons/ha (1.5 kg/m2), and 2) ditch factor (K) consists of 4 levels, namely: K0= top soil; K1= trench soil 1.6 kg and top soil 3.4 kg; K2 =trench soil 2.5 kg and top soil 2.5 kg; K3= trench soil 3.4 kg and top soil 1.6 kg. Each treatment was repeated 2 (two) times so that 32 experimental plots were obtained. the parameters observed in this study are: plant height (cm), leaf area (cm2), number of leaves, production weight per sample plant (g), production weight per plot (kg). The application of banana stem compost had no significant effect on plant height(cm), leaf area (cm2), number of leaves, but have a significant effect on production weight per sample plant (g), procdution weight per plot (Kg). The provision of excavated trench soil did not significantly affect the plant height (cm), leaf area (cm2), number of leaves, production weight per Sample plant (g), production weight per plot (kg).en_US
