This study aims to determine the correlation between self-control with nomophobia tendencies in students. The subjects in this study were class X students who attended SMA Negeri 1 Tarutung as many as 88 students. The research method used in this study is a quantitative correlation method, which is to see the correlation between two or more variables. The data analysis method used is Correlation-Product Moment. Based on the calculation of the r Product Moment analysis with a value or coefficient (rxy) = -0.518 and a coefficient (r2) = 0.268 with p = 0.000 <0.05. These results indicate that the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted, namely that there is a correlation between self-control and nomophobia tendencies. Self-control contributes to the tendency of nomophobia by 26.8%, so it can be seen that there are still 73.2% of other factors that influence the tendency of nomophobia that are not described in the study and were not seen in this study. The results of the calculation of the empirical and hypothetical mean, it can be seen that adolescents have moderate self-control that tends to be low, seen from the empirical mean = 129.20 < hypothetical mean = 130, where the difference between the two means exceeds the SD number = 16.833 and the tendency of adolescent nomophobia is high, as seen from empirical mean = 92.73 > hypothetical mean = 80 where the difference between the two means exceeds SD = 7.455.en_US
