Abstract: Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus yang membahas Strategi ekspor Porang di Sumatera Utara melalui Balai Besar karantina Pertanian Belawan dimana Belawan sebagai salah satu pintu ekspor di Sumatera Utara. Perlu diketahui bahwa Ekspor Porang mengalamai peningkatan tahun 2020 Namun sempet terhenti pada tahun 2021 karena adanya persyaratan Persyaratan Negara Tiongkok (Letter from the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing No. 8- 00261/Beijing/200708 dated July 8, 2020 regarding the Export Barriers to Konjac Chips (Porang) products from Indonesia that as of June 1, 2020 Konjac Chips (Porang) products from Indonesia must comply with the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China.) Penelitian ini dilakukan di Balai Besar Karantina Pertanian Belawan. Penelitian ini membahas tentang strategi ekspor Porang dari tahun 2019-2020 dan factor –faktor yang strategi ekspor Porang dari Sumatera Utara. Beberapa teknik pengumpulan data lapangan dilakukan dengan wawancara terhadap informan yang dipilih purposive, dan studi pustaka. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan SWOT. Hasilnya startegi ekspor porang di Provinsi Sumatera Utara berada ada di kuadran 1 yang menandakan eksportir kuat dan berpeluang. Rekomendasi strategi yang diberikan adalah strategi Agresif, artinya eksportir dalam kondisi yang baik dan mantap sehingga dimungkinkan untuk terus melakukan ekspansi, memperbesar penambahan dan meraih kemajuan secara maksimal dengan memanfaatkan kekuatan dan peluang yang ada. Kekuatan berada pada porang dapat bernilai ekomomi tinngi karena Porang dapat dimanfaatan dapat diolah menjadi beraneka produki industri makanan seperti tepung untuk pembuatan mie, beras sirataki. This research is a case study that discusses the Porang export strategy in North Sumatra through the Belawan Agricultural Quarantine Center where Belawan is one of the export gateways in North Sumatra. Please note that Porang's exports experienced an increase in 2020 but were halted in 2021 due to the requirements of the Chinese State Requirements (Letter from the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing No. 8-00261/Beijing/200708 dated July 8, 2020 regarding the Export Barriers to Konjac Chips (Porang) products from Indonesia that as of June 1, 2020 Konjac Chips (Porang) products from Indonesia must comply with the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China.) This research was conducted at the Belawan Agricultural Quarantine Center. This study discusses the Porang export strategy from 2019-2020 and the factors that affect the Porang export strategy from North Sumatra. Several field data collection techniques were carried out by purposive interviews with selected informants, and literature studies. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by SWOT. As a result, the porang export strategy in North Sumatra Province is in quadrant 1 which indicates a strong and potential exporter. The recommended strategy given is an Aggressive strategy, meaning that exporters are in good and stable condition so that it is possible to continue to expand, increase additions and achieve maximum progress by taking advantage of existing strengths and opportunities. Strength in porang can be of high economic value because Porang can be utilized and can be processed into various food industry products such as flour for making noodles, sirataki rice.
