Hubungan Antara Pola Asuh Demokratis dengan Perilaku Asertif pada Remaja di SMK TI Dharma Bakti Medan

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the relationship between democratic parenting style with assertive behavior in adolescents. The hypothesis of this study is there is a positive correlation between democratic parenting style with assertive behavior in the adolescent IT SMK Dharma Bakti Medan. This research was conducted at SMK Dharma Bakti IT field with a sample size of 63 individuals. The method used in this research is quantitative method with the sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. This study uses two scales that democratic parenting scale and the scale of assertive behavior. Analysis was performed using the statistical technique of product moment. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between democratic parenting style with assertive behavior in adolescents in IT SMK Dharma Bakti field with values of r xy = 0.707; p = 0.000 <0.05. The coefficient of determination of 0.499 so that the effective contribution of democratic parenting with assertive behavior in adolescents of 49.9%
