dc.description.abstractKelancaran lalu lintas sangat tergantung dari kondisi jalan yang ada , semakin baik kondisi jalan maka akan semakin lancar arus lalu lintas, baik arus pergerakan barang maupun manusia. Jalan tol merupakan bagian dari sistem jaringan jalan nasional yang penggunaannya diwajibkan membayar tol dan memiliki peran yang sangat signifikan bagi perkembangan suatu daerah. Perencanaan ruas jalan tol Binjai – Pangkalan Brandan merupakan jaringan jalan nasional yang akan direncanakan mampu menampung volume lalu lintas yang tinggi. Kendaraan – kendaraan tersebut mempunyai beban yang berlebih dari beban standart, hal ini memberikan dampak terhadap kondisi struktur perkerasan jalan. Dalam pelaksanaan pembangunan ruas jalan tol Binjai – Pangkalan Brandan, jenis konstruksi yang digunakan adalah struktur perkerasan kaku (rigid pavement). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi perhitungan tebal perkerasan kaku (rigid pavement) serta membandingan hasil dari metode AASHTO 1993 dan Metode Bina Marga, pada Jalan Tol Binjai – Pangkalan Brandan. Hasil dari perhitungan tebal perkerasan kaku menggunakan metode Bina Marga di dapat sebesar 25 cm, sedangkan metode AASHTO 1993 diperoleh tebal sebesar 25,4 cm. Dari hasil tersebut didapat perbedan tebal perkerasan sebesar 0,4 cm dari segi biaya metode Bina Marga lebih ekonomis. Pada perencanaan menggunakan metode bina marga terdapat perbedaan lalu lintas rencana yaitu sebesar 6220 ton sedangan pada AAHTO didapat sebesar 301 ton. Smooth traffic is very dependent on the existing road conditions, the better the road conditions, the smoother the traffic flow, both the flow of goods and people. Toll roads are part of the national road network system whose use is required to pay tolls and has a very significant role for the development of a region. The planning of the Binjai – Pangkalan Brandan toll road is a national road network that will be planned to be able to accommodate high traffic volumes. These vehicles have an excessive load than the standard load, this has an impact on the condition of the road pavement structure. In the implementation of the construction of the Binjai – Pangkalan Brandan toll road, the type of construction used is a rigid pavement structure. This study aims to evaluate the calculation of rigid pavement thickness and compare the results of the 1993 AASHTO method and the Highways Method, on the Binjai – Pangkalan Brandan Toll Road. The results of the calculation of rigid pavement thickness using the Bina Marga method were obtained at 25 cm, while the 1993 AASHTO method obtained a thickness of 25.4 cm. From these results obtained a difference in pavement thickness of 0.4 cm in terms of cost, the Bina Marga method is more economical. In planning using the bina marga method, there is a difference in the planned traffic, which is 6220 tons, while in AAHTO it is 301 tons.en_US
