dc.description.abstract | Penetapan Indonesia sebagai tuan rumah Presidensi G20 membuka peluang Indonesia dalam meningkatkan ekonomi disektor industri pariwisata dibidang MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition). MICE merupakan salah satu program prioritas KemenPareKraf berupa upaya pemulihan sektor pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif, sehingga diperlukan peningkatan fasilitas penunjang berupa venues stand alone (berdiri sendiri) bagi kegiatan MICE dalam wujud bangunan convention and exhibition center di Indonesia. Kota Medan merupakan kota bisnis, industri, dan perdagangan yang sangat penting, termasuk kota terbesar ke-3 di Indonesia, sehingga Kota Medan memiliki peluang investasi yang tinggi untuk kegiatan MICE tingkat nasional maupun internasional untuk menunjang kegiatan tersebut di atas maka Kota Medan perlu menambah bangunan convention and exhibition center yang memiliki fasilitas yang dapat mewadahi kegiatan MICE dalam satu gedung dan bersifat venues stand alone (berdiri sendiri). Pada perancangan convention and exhibition center ini akan menerapkan pendekatan prinsip desain Norman Foster dimana mengedepankan arsitektur yang berkelanjutan, keinsinyuran, urbanisme, dan desain industri yang memiliki karakter desain khusus, salah satunya pendekatan pada karakter desain high-tech, dimana penggunaan materail besi/baja, kaca serta elemen struktur yang ditonjolkan dapat menjadi citra baru pada kawasan tersebut. The appointment of Indonesia as the host of the G20 Presidency opens up opportunities for Indonesia to improve the economy in the tourism industry sector in the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition) sector. MICE is one of the priority programs of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in the form of efforts to restore the tourism sector and the creative economy, so it is necessary to increase supporting facilities in the form of stand alone venues for MICE activities in the form of convention and exhibition center buildings in Indonesia. Medan City is a very important business, industry and trade city, including the 3rd largest city in Indonesia, so that Medan City has high investment opportunities for national and international MICE activities to support the activities mentioned above. convention and exhibition center which has facilities that can accommodate MICE activities in one building and are stand alone venues. In the design of this convention and exhibition center, we will apply a Norman Foster design principle approach which emphasizes sustainable architecture, engineering, urbanism, and industrial design that has a special design character, one of which is the approach to high-tech design characters, where the use of iron/steel materials, glass and structural elements that are highlighted can become a new image in the area. | en_US |
