dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kecerdasan emosional dengan kecemasan menghadapi masa pensiun guru SD yang bertugas dibawah naungan Yayasan Perguruan Katolik Don Bosco. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh Guru SD yang berada di bawah naungan Yayasan Perguruan Katolik Don Bosco tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD) sejumlah 75 orang. Sampel pada penelitian ini ditentukan melalui purposive sampling karena ketersediaan individu yang relevan dalam kelompok populasi untuk menyediakan data yang digunakan peneliti. Dengan demikian sebanyak 30 orang Guru SD dibawah naungan Yayasan Perguruan Katolik Don Bosco ditetapkan sebagai sampel penelitian dan mencukupi syarat sampel pada penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan analisis korelasi bivariate yakni korelasi product moment (pearson). Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yakni terdapat hubungan negatif antara kecerdasan emosional dan kecemasan pensiun guru SD yang bertugas di bawah naungan Yayasan Perguruan Katolik Don Bosco. Dengan kata lain apabila kecerdasan emosional guru SD yang bertugas di bawah naungan Yayasan Perguruan Katolik Don Bosco adalah tinggi maka kecemasan menghadapi pensiun akan menurun, begitu juga sebaliknya. Berdasarkan hasil analisa data menggunakan tektik correlation Product Moment Pearson memperoleh r sebesar -0,636 dengan p sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05) yang menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosi dengan kecemasan menghadapi pensiun pada guru, dimana semakin tinggi kecerdasan emosi maka semakin rendah kecemasan menghadapi pensiun pada guru dan semakin rendah kecerdasan emosi maka semakin tinggi kecemasan menghadapi pensiun pada guru di Yayasan Perguruan Katolik Don Bosco. Berdasarkan analisa tersebut, maka hipotesis diterima. Sumbangan efektif dari korelasi sebesar r2 0,405 yang menunjukkan bahwa kecemasan menghadapi pensiun pada guru yang akan pensiun dipengaruhi oleh kecerdasan emosi sebesar 40,5%. This study aims to determine the correlation between emotional intelligence and anxiety facing retirement for elementary school teachers who serve under the auspices of the Don Bosco Catholic College Foundation. This research is a research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all elementary school teachers under the auspices of the Don Bosco Catholic College Foundation at the Elementary School (SD) level, totaling 75 people. The sample in this study was determined through purposive sampling because of the availability of relevant individuals in the population group to provide the data used by researchers. Thus, as many as 30 elementary school teachers under the auspices of the Don Bosco Catholic College Foundation were selected as the research sample and fulfilled the sample requirements for quantitative research. The data analysis technique used in this study is bivariate correlation analysis, namely product moment (pearson) correlation. The research results obtained were that there was a negative relationship between emotional intelligence and retirement anxiety of elementary school teachers who served under the auspices of the Don Bosco Catholic College Foundation. In other words, if the emotional intelligence of elementary school teachers working under the auspices of the Don Bosco Catholic College Foundation is high, anxiety about retirement will decrease, and vice versa. Based on the results of data analysis using the Product Moment correlation technique, Pearson obtained an r of -0.636 with a p of 0.000 (p <0.05) which indicated that there was a negative and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and anxiety facing retirement in teachers, where the higher the emotional intelligence, the more the lower the anxiety facing retirement for teachers and the lower the emotional intelligence, the higher the anxiety for facing retirement for teachers at the Don Bosco Catholic College Foundation. Based on this analysis, the hypothesis is accepted. The effective contribution of the correlation is r2 0.405 which indicates that the anxiety of facing retirement in teachers who are about to retire is influenced by emotional intelligence of 40.5%.en_US
