Abstract

At the substation, the DC system has an important role in the smooth operation of the substation in serving consumers. The DC source comes from the rectifier and battery which are connected in parallel to the load. DC source is used for protection and control relay operation needs as well as for SCAD A TELI. For relay and control operation needs at PLN, there are two direct current supply power supply systems, namely DC 110V and DC 220V, while for Scadatel needs it uses a DC 48V Power Supply system. DC system maintenance must always be considered and according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) so that the equipment works according to its characteristics and ensures the reliability of the equipment. According to the manual of PT. PLN (PERSERO) on DC System, battery maintenance covers weekly, monthly, six-monthly, and bi-annual maintenance periods. This report wi1J discuss the annual maintenance process for 48 units of Saft Nife brand II batteries, type SBL 167-2 at the 150 kV Srondol Substation, Semarang. Where during maintenance the charging process, capacity test, electrolyte test and reconditioning are carried out.
