This research was conducted at the experimental garden of Agriculture Faculty University of Medan Area, located on Jl. Kolam number 1, Medan Estate, Percut Sei Tuan. This research was conducted in May until July 2016. Onion plants is one of the leading commodity in some areas that many beneficial for health and can also be used as a cooking spice. The lack of land and the use of inorganic fertilizers that has long led to a decrease in productivity of onion plants. Therefore it has been conducted of research on the use of liquid organic fertilizer waste coconut water on the growth and production 3 varieties of onion. The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of liquid organic fertilizer waste coconut water on the growth and production of onion (Allium ascolanicum.L), to know the growth and production with the use of 3 different varieties of onion, to know the interaction of use liquid organic fertilizer waste coconut water on the growth and production 3 varieties of onion (Allium ascolanicum. L). The design used was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial with 2 factors. The first treatment factor by giving liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) of coconut water that consists of 4 levels dose are A0 = control, A1 = 25% LOF /liter of water, A2 = 50 % LOF /liter of water, A3 = 100% LOF/ liter of water. The second treatment factor by using varieties that consists of three levels are V1 = Variety Manjung, V2 = Variety Bima, V3 = Variety Bauji with parameter observation of leaf length (cm), number of leaves (leaf), the number of seedlings (fruit), fresh weight of tuber per sample (g), dry weight of tubers per sample (g), fresh weight of tuber per plot (g), dry weight of tubers per plot (g). The results of research showed that giving the liquid organic fertilizer waste coconut water significantly affected on parameter of fresh weight by sample and dry weight by sample, but it is not affected real on parameter of leaf length, number of leaves, number of seedlings at the age of 6 MST observation. The treatment of some varieties of onion very significant effect on parameter observation of number of leaf age 6 MST, but it is not affected real on parameter observation of leaf length, number of seedlings age 6 MST and it is not affected real on fresh weight per sample, dry weight per sample, fresh weight per plot and dry weight per plot at the age of 8 MST observation. The interaction of giving liquid organic fertilizer of coconut water on 3 varieties of onion is not affected real on all parameters observation.en_US
