This study aims to determine and empirically test whether there is a relationship between perceptions of the physical work environment and job satisfaction at PDAM Tirta Umbu, Nias Regency. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. The research subjects were employees of company X, which were opened by 68 people using total sampling arranged on Likert scale. The measuring instrument used is a work environment instrument consisting of 20 items with a reliability coefficient of 0.880 and a job satisfaction instrument consisting of 24 items with a reliability coefficient of 0.904. This data analysis uses the r Product Moment method. Data analysis found that the hypothesis proposed in this study was accepted, namely that there was a positive relationship between perceptions of the physical work environment and satisfaction, meaning that the better the physical work environment, the higher the job satisfaction. This is evidenced by the calculation of Product Moment r analysis with coefficient (rxy) = 0.658 and coefficient of determination (r2)= 0.433 which shows the physical work environment formed by job satisfaction is 43.30%. Furthermore, judging from the results of the calculation of the hypothetical average of 47,500 and the empirical average of 54,926 and the standard deviation =7,095 it is known that the physical work environment is high. While employee job satisfaction from the hypothetical arithmetic mean of 52,500 and the empirical average of 61.382 and standard deviation = 8,621 it is known that employee job satisfaction is in the high category.
