Abstract: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh disiplin kerja dan kemampuan kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Fakultas Teknik Universitas Sumatera Utara secara parsia maupun simultan. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian asosiatif, dimana variabel diukur dengan skala likert. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 200 (dua ratus) orang pegawai dengan menggunakan teknik rumus slovin, maka dapat diketahui jumlah sampel sebanyak 67 responden yang diambil sebagian dari populasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variable disiplin kerja secara parsial berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai yakni t hitung 2,642 > t-tabel 1,99714 serta nilai signifikan disiplin kerja 0,010 < 0,05. Dan Variabel kemampuan kerja secara parsial berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai yakni t hitung 3,746 > t-tabel 1,99714 serta nilai signifikan kemampuan kerja 0,000 < 0,05. Sedangkan secara simultan disiplin kerja dan kemampuan kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai F-hitung 17,847 > F-tabel 3,14 serta nilai signifikan 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,358 atau 35,8%. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work discipline and work ability on employee performance at the Faculty of Engineering, University of North Sumatera, partially or Simultaneously. The research method used is associative research, where the variables are measured using a Likert scale. The population in this study was 200 employees using the slovin formula technique, so it can be seen that the number of samples was 67 respondents who were taken partly from the population. The results showed that the work discipline variable partially had a significant positive effect on employee performance, namely t count 2.642 > t-table 1.99714 and a significant value of work discipline 0.010 <0.05. And the work ability variable partially has a significant positive effect on employee performance, namely t count 3.746 > t-table 1.99714 and a significant value of work ability 0.000 <0.05. While simultaneously work discipline and work ability have a significant positive effect on employee performance, this is indicated by the F-count 17.847 > F-table 3.14 and a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 and the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.358 or 35, 8%.
