dc.description.abstract | Riski Gunawan Surbakti 168210097 “Kacang panjang merupakan tanaman yang mudah diolah menjadi makanan dan kaya nutrisi seperti vitamin, protein, lemak nabati, karbohidrat dan mineral. Kacang panjang merupakan salah satu jenis kacang sayur yang banyak dibudidayakan dan dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Produksi kacang panjang dalam negeri dari tahun ketahun masih fluktuatif. Tanah ultisol adalah tanah yang bermasalah dengan kemasaman tanah, mempunyai bahan organik yang rendah serta unsur hara makro yang rendah dan ketersediaan unsur hara P yang sangat rendah. Untuk menanggulangi perihal tersebut, pemupukan adalah salah satu alternatif untuk memperbaiki sifat fisik, kimia serta hayati tanah sehingga bisa meningkatkan produksi tanaman. Kompos jerami padi dan Azotobacter sp. dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi kacang panjang. Penelitian ini berlokasi di Kebun Percobaan Universitas Medan Area. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai dari bulan Febuari sampai dengan bulan Mei 2021. Menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan 2 perlakuan. Perlakuan pertama yaitu pemberian Kompos jerami padi dengan dosis (0, 1, 2, 3 kg/plot) dan perlakuan kedua yaitu, pemberian Azotobacter sp. dengan dosis (0, 5, 7,5, 10, ml/liter). Parameter yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, umur berbunga, produksi persampel, produksi perplot. Riski Gunawan Surbakti 168210097 " Long beans are a plant that is easily processed into food and rich in nutrients such as vitamins, proteins, vegetable fats, carbohydrates and minerals. Long beans are one type of vegetable beans that are widely cultivated and consumed by the people of Indonesia. Domestic production of Long beans from year to year is still volatile. Ultisol soils are problematic soils with soil acidification, have low organic matter and low macronutrients and very low availability of P nutrient. To overcome this problem, fertilization is an alternative to improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil so that it can increase crop production. Rice straw compost and Azotobacter sp. can promote the growth and production of Long beans. This research is located in the Experimental Garden of Medan Area University. This research was carried out from February to May 2021. Using a randomized design of a group with 2 treatments. The first treatment is the administration of rice straw compost with a dose (0, 1, 2, 3 kg / plot) and the second treatment is the administration of Azotobacter sp. at a dosage (0.5, 7.5, 10, ml/liter).
