Hubungan antara Komunikasi Interpersonal dengan Kepuasan Kerja Pegawai pada Badan Narkotika Nasional Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan kepuasan kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah pegawai Badan Narkotika Nasional Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 72 pegawai dan sudah terdaftar sebagai pegawai tetap. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik total sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan melakukan observasi dan penyebaran angket. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode korelasi product moment dari Carl Pearson. Dari penelitian tersebut peneliti mendapatkan hasil bahwa: 1) terdapat hubungan positif antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan kepuasan kerja pada pegawai Badan Narkotika Nasional Sumatera Utara. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan adanya korelasi rxy sebesar 0,449. 2) Hasil uji determinasi diperoleh sebesar 0,249. Artinya komunikasi intrepersonal memiliki kontribusi terhadap meningkatnya kepuasan kerja pada pegawai Badan Narkotika Nasional Sumatera Utara yaitu sebesar 24,9 %. Sementara sisanya sebesar 75,1 % dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Mean hipotetik dan mean empirik komunikasi interpersonal berada pada kategori positif, karena mean hipotetik (75) lebih kecil dari pada nilai empiris (91,42) dimana selisihnya melebihi nilai SD (13,996) dan kepuasan kerja berada pada kategori positif, karena mean hipotetik (57,5) lebih kecil dari mean empiris (85,65), dimana selisihnya lebih besar dari nilai SD (14.426). This study aims to determine the relationship between interpersonal communication and job satisfaction. This research uses quantitative research methods. The subjects in this study were employees of the National Narcotics Agency of North Sumatra Province. The number of samples in this study were 72 employees and were registered as permanent employees. The sampling technique in this study used a saturated sampling technique. Methods of collecting data in this study by observing and distributing questionnaires. The data analysis method used in this research is the product moment correlation method from Carl Pearson. From this study, the researchers found that: 1) there was a positive relationship between interpersonal communication and job satisfaction for the employees of the National Narcotics Agency of North Sumatra. This result is evidenced by the rxy correlation of 0.449. 2) The result of the determination test is 0.249. This means that interpersonal communication has a contribution to increasing job satisfaction for employees of the National Narcotics Agency of North Sumatra, which is 24.9%. While the remaining 75.1% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. The Hypothetical Mean and the Empirical Mean of interpersonal communication are in the positive category, because the hypothetical mean (75) is smaller than the empirical (91.42) where the difference exceeds the SD value (13.996) and job satisfaction is in the positive category, because the hypothetical mean (57, 5) smaller than the empirical mean (85.65), where the difference is more than the SD value (14,426).
