dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan empati dengan perilaku agresif pada siswa SMA Swasta Muhammadiyah 10 Rantauprapat. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi pada penelitian ini dilakukan screening maka terdapat 40 siswa. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 40 siswa, yang diambil menggunakan teknik total sampling (sampel yang diambil dari keseluruhan populasi). Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan skala likert, di mana terdapat dua skala yaitu skala empati dan skala perilaku agresif. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah analisis korelasi product moment. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan, dinyatakan bahwa adanya hubungan negatif antara empati dengan perilaku agresif. Hasil ini diketahui dengan melihat Nilai atau koefisien dimana koefisien yaitu -0,332 dengan signifikansi p = 0,018<0,05, dengan bobot sumbangan 11%. Dengan melihat nilai mean hipotetik empati 70, nilai empirik empati 57,950, dan SD 8,302 maka empati dikategorikan rendah. Sedangkan nilai hipotetik perilaku agresif 75, nilai empirik perilaku agresif 89,025, dan SD 6,367 maka perilaku agresif dikategorikan sangat tinggi. Maka hipotesis pada penelitian ini dapat diterima. This study aims to determine the correlation between empathy and aggressive in Muhammadiyah 10 Rantauprapat high school students. This type of research uses correlational quantitative research. The population in this study conducted screening of 40 students. The number of samples in this study were 40 students, who were taken using the total sample technique (samples taken from entire populations). The research data was collected by using likert scale, where there are two scales of empathy scale and aggressive. The data analysis used in research is product moment correlation analysis. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, it was expressed that there was a negative connection between empathy and aggressive. These results are known by looking at the value or coefficient where the coefficient is -0.332 with a significance of p = 0.018 <0.05, with a contribution weight of 11%. By looking at the value of hypothetical mean empathy 70, empirical mean for empathy 57.950, and SD 8.302 that empathy is a low categorized. Whereas the value of hypothetical mean aggressive 75, the empirical mean for aggressive is 89.025, and SD 6.367 that aggresive is so high categorized.
