dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan self-efficacy dengan Prokrastinasi Akademik Siswa Kelas VIII Dan IX Di SMPN 43 Medan. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini, Ada hubungan negative self eficacy dengan prokrastinasi akademik. Dengan asumsi semakin baik self eficacy maka prokrastinasi akademik semakin rendah dan sebaliknya semakin buruk self eficacy maka prokrastinasi akademik semakin tinggi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 65 Siswa SMPN 43 Medan TA 2021/2022. Data ini diungkap dengan ciri orang yang memiliki self efficacy tinggi menurut Robbins (2016) antara lain: Dapat mengatasi secara efektif situasi yang mereka hadapi, Yakin terhadap kesuksesan dalam mengatasi rintangan, Gigih dalam berusaha, Percaya pada kemampuan diri yang dimiliki, Memiliki motivasi, dan Tidak terpengaruh oleh situasi yang mengancam. Adapun Prokrastinasi akademik diukur berdasarkan aspek prokrastinasi menurut Ferrari, dkk dan Stell (2015)sebagai berikut: Perceived time, Intention-action, Emotional distress, Perceived ability.Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan analisis korelasi product moment, dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara Self efficacy dengan Prokastinasi. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi rxy = -0,508, dengan Signifikan p= 0,000 < 0,05. Koefisien determinan (r2) dari hubungan antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat adalah r2= 0,258. Ini menunjukkan bahwa Self efficacy berdistribusi sebesar 25.80% terhadap Prokastinasi. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and academic procrastination of students classVIII And IX at SMPN 43 Medan. The hypothesis in this study, there is a negative relationship between self-efficacy and academic procrastination. With the assumption that the better the self-efficacy, the lower the academic procrastination and conversely the worse the self-efficacy, the higher the academic procrastination. The sample in this study was 65 students of SMPN 43 Medan FY 2021/2022. This data is revealed by the characteristics of people who have high self-efficacy according to Robbins (2016), including: Able to effectively cope with the situations they face, Confident in success in overcoming obstacles, Persistent in trying, Believe in their own abilities, Have motivation, and Unaffected by threatening situations.Academic procrastination is measured based on aspects of procrastination according to Ferrari, et al and Stell (2015) as follows: Perceived time, Intention-action, Emotional distress, Perceived ability. Procastination. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = - 0.508, with significant p = 0.000 <0.05. The determinant coefficient (r2) of the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable is r2 = 0.258.
