Abstract: Student engagement merupakan keterlibatan siswa di sekolah yang meliputi keterlibatan perilaku, keterlibatan emosional dan keterlibatan kognitif. Salah satu faktor internal yang memberikan pengaruh cukup besar terhadap student engagement adalah konsep diri.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengujisecara empiris mengenai Hubungan Antara Konsep Diri Dengan Student Engagement di SMA Yayasan Perguruan Bandung Percut Sei Tuan. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini berbunyi: “ada hubungan positif antara konsep diri dengan Student engagement”. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah total sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 122 siswa. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala konsep diri dan skala Student engagement. Metode analisa data menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara konsep diri dengan Student engagement diSMA Swasta Yayasan Perguruan Bandung Percut Sei Tuan, dimana ryx = 0,708 dan p = 0,000 (p <0,05) sehingga hipotesis dinyatakanditerima. Selanjutnya diketahui kontribusi konsep diri dengan student engagementsebesar 50.1% sedangkan 49.9% dipengaruhi faktor lain yang tidak diungkapkan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu faktor internal terdiri dari Need of relatedness, Need of autonomy dan Need of competence. Faktor eksternal terdiri dari structure, Autonomy support dan involvement. Student engagement is the involvement of students in schools which includes behavioral involvement, emotional involvement and cognitive involvement. One of the internal factors that has a significant influence on studentengagement is self- concept. The purpose of this study was to empirically examine the relationship between self-concept and student engagement at the Bandung Percut Sei Tuan High School. The hypothesis in this study reads: "there is a positive relationship between self-concept and student engagement". The samplingtechnique used was total sampling with a total sample of 122 students. Measuring tools used are self-concept scale and Student engagement scale. The data analysismethod uses the product moment correlation technique. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between self-concept and student engagement at private high school Bandung Percut Sei Tuan College Foundation, where ryx = 0.708 and p = 0.000 (p <0.05) so that the hypothesis is declared accepted. Furthermore, it is known that the contribution of self-concept with student engagement is 50.1%, while 49.9% is influenced by other factors not disclosed in this study, namely internal factors consisting of the need for relatedness, the need for autonomy and the need for competence. External factors consisting of structure, Autonomy support and involvement.
