dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dengan work engagement. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah pegawai Badan Narkotika Nasional Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 73 pegawai yang memiliki kriteria work engagement. Teknik pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala guttman untuk gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dan skala likert untuk work engagement . Teknik analisa data menggunakan korelasi product moment dari karl pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perolehan senagai berikut : 1) Ada hubungan yang positif antara gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dengan work engagament pegawai Badan Narkotika Nasional Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi rxy = 0,499. 2) Kontribusi efektif dari vairiabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat sebesar 24,9% dan 74,1% dari faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. 3) Dari hasil analisis, penelitian gaya kepemimpinan demokratis tergolong tinggi dengan nilai rata rata empirik 50,67 dengan mean hipotetiknya 40,5 dan work engagement juga tergolong tinggi dengan nilai rata rata empirik 66,04 dengan mean hipotetiknya 57,5. This study aims to determine the correlation between democratic style leadership with work engagement. This research using quantitative research methods. The subject of this research is an employee of the National Narcotics Agency of North Sumatra Province. The number of samples in this study were 73 employees who have work engagement criteria. Data collection techniques in this research uses purposive sampling technique. Technique data collection using the guttman scale for style democratic leadership and the Likert scale for work engagement. Data analysis technique using product moment correlation from karl pearson. The results of the study show the following acquisitions: 1) There is a positive relationship between democratic leadership styles with employees of the Provincial National Narcotics Agency North Sumatra. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.499. 2) The effective contribution of the independent variable to the dependent variable by 24.9% and 74.1% from other factors not studied in this research. 3) From the results of the analysis, research style democratic leadership is classified as high with an average score of empirical 50.67 with a hypothetical mean of 40.5 and work engagement also classified as high with an empirical average value of 66.04 with a mean the hypothetical 57.5. | en_US |
