dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kecanduan gadget dengan perilaku prokrastinasi pada siswa. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Kecanduan gadget adalah terlalu lama meghabiskan waktu bermain gadget hingga menganggu aktivitas sehari-hari. Prokrastinasi adalah perilaku menunda nunda tugas penting akademik yang harus di selesaikan dan lebih memilih melakukan aktivitas yang dianggap lebih menyenangkan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi SMA Mulia Pratama Medan yang berjumlah 86 orang dan menggunakan teknik pengampilan sampel purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala, adapun skala yang peneliti gunakan yaitu dengan aitem skala kecanduan gadget Kwon, dkk (2013) dan aitem skala prokrastinasi Kartadinata & Sia (2008). Berdasarkan hasil uji korelasi r product moment terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kecanduan gadget dengan perilaku prokrastinasi pada siswasiswi SMA Mulia Pratama Medan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi (rxy) 0,427 dengan signifikan (P) 0,000<0,5 yang artinya semakin tinggi tingkat kecanduan gadget maka semakin tinggi perilaku prokrastinasi siswa-siswi. Begitupun sebaliknya, semakin rendah tingkat kecanduan gadget maka semakin rendah perilaku prokrastinasi pada siswa-siswi. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang peneliti ajukan diterima. Kecanduan gadget tergolong tinggi dimana mean hipotetik 120 < mean empirik yaitu 139,16 dan selisihnya melebihi bilangan SD yaitu 13,418. Prokrastinasi tergolong tinggi dimana mean hipotetik 120 < mean empirik 144,87 dan selisihnya lebih dari bilangan SD yaitu 16,084. Koefisien determinan (r2) dari hubungan antar variabel bebas X (kecanduan gadget) dengan variabel terikat Y (prokrastinasi) yaitu = 0,182 yang berarti bahwa kecanduan gadget mempengaruhi prokrastinasi sebesar 18,2 %. This study aims to determine the correlation between gadget addiction and procrastination behavior in students. The approach in this research is a quantitative approach with the type of correlation research. Gadget addiction is spending too much time playing gadgets to interfere with daily activities. Procrastination is the behavior of postponing important academic tasks that must be completed and preferring to do activities that are considered more enjoyable. The subjects in this study were students of SMA Mulia Pratama Medan, totaling 86 people and using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was done using a scale, while the scale that the researchers used was the gadget addiction scale item Kwon, et al (2013) and the Kartadinata & Sia procrastination scale item (2008). Based on the results of the product moment r correlation test, there was a significant positive relationship between gadget addiction and procrastination behavior in SMA Mulia Pratama Medan students. This evidenced by the correlation coefficient (rxy) 0.427 with a significant (P) 0.000 <0.5, which means that the higher the level of gadget addiction, the higher the procrastination behavior of students. Vice versa, the lower the level of gadget addiction, the lower the procrastination behavior in students. Thus, the hypothesis that the researcher proposes was accepted. Gadget addiction was high, where the hypothetical mean is 120 < the empirical mean is 139.16 and the difference exceeds the SD number, which 13,418. Procrastination was high, where the hypothetical mean is 120 < the empirical mean is 144.87 and the difference were more than the SD number, which 16.084. The determinant coefficient (r2) of the relationship between the independent variable X (gadget addiction) and the dependent variable Y (procrastination) was = 0.182, which means that gadget addiction affects procrastination by 18.2%. | en_US |
