Abstract: Pemerintah mempunyai kebijakan reaktivasi (hidupkan kembali) jalur rel kereta api Medan-Binjai-Kuala Bingei, guna mengurangi beban kepadatan jalan sebagai salah satu sistem transportasi massal yang memiliki potensi tinggi sebagai angkutan massal yang cepat, aman, nyaman, dan tepat waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keberminatan masyarakat terkait pengaktifan kembali jalur kereta api Medan - Binjai - Kuala Bingei berdasarkan kualitas pelayanan dan kepuasan penumpang dalam menggunakan transportasi kereta api. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di sekitar jalur kereta api Medan-Binjai-Kuala Bingei pada bulan September 2022 sampai dengan Oktober 2022 terhadap masyarakat pengguna kereta api Medan-Binjai-Kuala Bingei sebanyak 100 responden. Melalui penggunaan rumus pengambilan sampel Notoatmodjo, diperoleh sampel sebesar 50 responden, dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial dan simultan ada pengaruh positif keberminatan masyarakat (Y) terkait pengaktifan kembali jalur kereta api Medan - Binjai - Kuala Bingei berdasarkan kualitas pelayanan (X1) dan kepuasan penumpang (X2) dalam menggunakan transportasi kereta api. Persamaan garis analisis regresi linier berganda adalah sebagai berikut : Ŷ = 1,416 + 0,224X1 + 0,308X2. Dari persamaan tersebut diketahui bahwa jika nilai kualitas pelayanan dan kepuasan penumpang tetap atau sama dengan nol, maka keberminatan masyarakat sebesar 1,416. Jika kepuasan penumpang nilainya tetap atau sama dengan nol dan kualitas pelayanan mengalami kenaikan 1%, maka keberminatan masyarakat akan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,224. Jika kualitas pelayanan nilainya tetap atau sama dengan nol dan kepuasan penumpang mengalami kenaikan 1%, maka keberminatan masyarakat mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,308. The government has a policy of reactivation (reviving) the Medan-Binjai-Kuala Bingei railroad, in order to reduce the burden of road congestion as a mass transportation system that has high potential as fast, safe, comfortable and timely mass transit. This study aims to analyze public interest in reactivating the Medan - Binjai - Kuala Bingei railway line based on service quality and passenger satisfaction in using rail transportation. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive research. The research was carried out in the vicinity of the Medan-Binjai-Kuala Bingei railway line from September 2022 to October 2022 with 100 respondents using the Medan-Binjai-Kuala Bingei train. Through the use of the Notoatmodjo sampling formula, a sample of 50 respondents was obtained, using multiple linear regression data analysis techniques. The results of the study show that partially and simultaneously there is a positive influence of public interest (Y) regarding the reactivation of the Medan - Binjai - Kuala Bingei railway line based on service quality (X1) and passenger satisfaction (X2) in using rail transportation. The line equation for multiple linear regression analysis is as follows: Ŷ = 1.416 + 0.224X1 + 0.308X2. From this equation it is known that if the value of service quality and passenger satisfaction remains or is equal to zero, then the community's interest is 1.416. If passenger satisfaction is constant or equal to zero and service quality increases by 1%, then public interest will increase by 0.224. If the value of service quality remains at or equal to zero and passenger satisfaction increases by 1%, then public interest increases by 0.308.
