Abstract: Pupuk organik cair (POC) adalah pupuk alternatif yang dapat diproduksi secara mendiri. Manfaat penggunaan POC yaitu dapat meningkatkan kualitas tanah dan produksi tanaman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan konsentrasi terbaik dari pemberian POC kulit semangka (Citrullus lanatus) terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman selada keriting (Lactuca sativa L.). Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan Mei sampai Juli 2022, di Laboratorium Analisis Tanah Fakultas Pertanian USU dan di lahan pekarangan rumah, Jl. Gatot Subroto, Sei sikambing, Gang Sukasetia no 8, Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian eksperimental dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 kelompok perlakuan dan 1 kelompok kontrol, dengan masing-masing 3 ulangan. Konsentrasi yang digunakan terdiri dari 5 taraf yaitu: (P0: 0% (kontrol) = 0 ml poc + 1000 ml air = 1L, P1: 2,5% = 25 ml poc + 975 ml air = 1L, P2: 5% = 50 ml poc + 950 ml air = 1L, P3: 7,5% = 75 ml poc + 925 ml air = 1L, P4: 10% = 100 ml poc tanpa air). Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji ANOVA, yang selanjutnya dilakukan uji BNT apabila ada pengaruh beda nyata antar perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pemberian pupuk organik cair dari limbah kulit semangka tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, lebar daun dan berat basah tanaman selada keriting. Perlakuan dengan konsentrasi 100 ml POC tanpa pengenceran membuat tanaman selada menjadi layu dan mati. Semakin tinggi konsentrasi pupuk organik cair yang diaplikasikan pada tanaman selada keriting menyebabkan pertumbuhan tanaman selada keriting semakin tidak optimal. Liquid organic fertilizer (POC) is an alternative fertilizer that can be produced independently. The benefits of using POC be can to improve soil quality and plant production. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and the best concentration of POC on watermelon rind (Citrullus lanatus) on the growth of curly lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.). The research was carried out from May to July 2022, at the Soil Analysis Laboratory of the USU Faculty of Agriculture and in the yard of the house, Jl. Gatot Subroto, Sei sikambing, Gang Sukasetia no 8, Medan. The research method used is an experimental research method using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatment groups and 1 control group, with 3 replications each. The concentration used consisted of 5 levels, namely: (P0: 0% (control) = 0 ml poc + 1000 ml water = 1L, P1: 2.5% = 25 ml poc + 975 ml water = 1L, P2: 5% = 50 ml poc + 950 ml water = 1L, P3: 7.5% = 75 ml poc + 925 ml water = 1L, P4: 10% = 100 ml poc without water). The research data were analyzed using the ANOVA test, then the BNT test was carried out if there was a significant difference between treatments. The results showed that the application of liquid organic fertilizer from watermelon rind waste had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, leaf width and wet weight of curly lettuce. Treatment with a concentration of 100 ml of POC without dilution made the lettuce plants wither and die. The higher the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer applied to the curly lettuce plant causes the growth of the curly lettuce plant to be less than optimal.
