Abstract: Salah satu faktor keberhasilan sebuah perusahaan adalah karyawan. Perusahaan yang berfungsi baik merupakan output dari work engagement karyawannya yakni kontribusi terhadap perusahaan. Isu work engagement ini mulai diperhatikan di Indonesia, disamping pertumbuhan bisnis yang kuat ternyata work engagement Indonesia juga rendah yakni sebesar 8% dari total karyawan di Indonesia yang engaged terhadap pekerjaannya. Peneliti melihat adanya isu mengenai work engagement di PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) kantor Pos Medan dan Deli Serdang yaitu dalam hal kedisiplinan dan dari sisi kualitas pelayanan dari karyawan kepada pelanggan yang dinilai masih kurang. Permasalahan ini juga dipengaruhi oleh keberagaman gender di dalamnya. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran transformational leadership terhadap work engagement karyawan yang dilihat dengan gender sebagai variabel moderator di PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) kantor Pos Medan dan Deli Serdang. Peneliti menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksplanatif dimana transformational leadership sebagai variabel terikat, work engagement sebagai variabel bebas, dan gender sebagai variabel moderator. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan teknik total sampling sebanyak 190 karyawan di PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) kantor Pos Medan dan Deli Serdang. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peran transformational leadership terhadap work engagement karyawan di PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) kantor Pos Medan dan Deli Serdang dan tidak terdapat peran gender terhadap work engagement karyawan di PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) kantor Pos Medan dan Deli Serdang. Transformational leadership mempunyai pengaruh terbesar dibandingkan dengan gender dalam mempengaruhi work engagement sehingga dalam meningkatkan work engagement karyawan PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) kantor Pos Medan dan Deli Serdang adalah melalui peningkatan variabel transformational leadership One of the success factors of a company is employees. A well-functioning company is the output of its employees' work engagement, namely their contribution to the company. The issue of work engagement is starting to be noticed in Indonesia, in addition to strong business growth, it turns out that Indonesia's work engagement is also low, amounting to 8% of the total employees in Indonesia who are engaged in their work. Researchers see that there are issues regarding work engagement at PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) the Medan and Deli Serdang Post offices, namely in terms of discipline and in terms of service quality from employees to customers who are considered to be lacking. This problem is also influenced by the diversity of gender in it. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of transformational leadership on employee work engagement in terms of gender as a moderator variabel at PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Medan and Deli Serdang Post Offices. The researcher uses a quantitative method with an explanatory approach where transformational leadership is the dependent variabel, work engagement is the independent variabel, and gender is the moderator variabel. In this study, researchers used a total sampling technique of 190 employees at PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Medan and Deli Serdang Post Offices. From the research conducted, it can be concluded that there is a role of transformational leadership on employee work engagement at PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Medan and Deli Serdang Post offices and there is no gender role for employee work engagement at PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Medan and Deli Serdang Post Offices. Transformational leadership has the greatest influence compared to gender in influencing work engagement so that in increasing the work engagement of employees of PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Medan and Deli Serdang Post offices is through an increase in transformational leadership variabels.
