Abstract: Motivasi belajar merupakan dorongan internal dan eksternal pada siswa-siswa yang sedang belajar untuk mengadakan perubahan tingkah laku, pada umumnya dengan beberapa indikator atau unsur yang mendukung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji secara empiris dan mengetahui adanya Hubungan antara Dukungan Orang Tua Dengan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas VIII Mts Hifdzil Qur‟an Yayasan Islamic Centre Sumatera Utara. Populasi penelitian ini adalah para siswa kelas VIII di MTS Hifzhil Qur‟an Yayasan Islamic Center Sumatera Utara yang berjumlah 157 siswa, dan sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 40 siswa, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan random sampling. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala dukungan orang tua dan skala motivasi belajar diukur dengan menggunakan skala likert.teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil nilai yang signifikan korelasi p= 0,000 <0,05, artinya ada hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan orang tua dengan motivasi belajar pada siswa kelas VIII Mts Hifzhil Qur‟an Yayasan Islamic Center Sumatera Utara, dengan koefisien determinan (r²) 0,541 atau 54,1% dengan kata lain, hipotesis diterima. Motivasi belajar tergolong rendah ( mean empirik = 50,15 < mean hipotetik = 60 di mana selisihnya lebih dari bilang SD= 7,924), dan untuk dukungan orang tua tergolong rendah ( mean empirik = 26,78< mean hipotetik = 35 di mana selisihnya lebih dari bilang SD=4,300). Learning motivation is internal and external encouragement to students who are learning to make changes in behavior, generally with several indicators or elements that support. The aim of this study was to empirically test and find out the correlation between Parental Support and Learning Motivation of Class VIII Mts Hifdzil Qur'an Islamic Center Foundations, North Sumatra. The population of this research is the students of class VIII at MTS Hifzhil Qur'an Islamic Center Foundation of North Sumatra totaling 157 students, and the sample in this study amounted to 40 students. the sampling technique used was random sampling. This research method uses quantitative methods. Data collection using the parental support scale and learning motivation scale measured using the Likert scale. The data analysis technique used product moment correlation. The results showed a significant correlation value of p = 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there was a significant correlation between parental support and learning motivation in class VIII Mts Hifzhil Qur'an Islamic Center Foundation of North Sumatra, with a determinant coefficient (r²) of 0.541 or 54.1% in other words, the hypothesis is accepted. Learning motivation is low (empirical mean = 50.15 < hypothetical mean = 60 where the difference is more than SD = 7,924), and for parental support it is low (empirical mean = 26.78 < hypothetical mean = 35 where the difference is more than SD = 4,300).
