Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self efficacy dengan student engagement siswa di SMP N 1 Biru-biru. Self efficacy adalah keyakinan dalam diri seorang individu bahwa mampu untuk mengembangkan kemampuan dan keyakinan menghasilkan hasil kerja yang baik dari usaha dan motivasi dalam diri individu sedangkan Student engagement adalah keterlibatan siswa dalam beraktifitas di sekolah secara akademik maupun non akademik. Populasi penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 288 orang siswa dari kelas 1-3 SMP dan sampel penelitian sebanyak 167 orang yang diambil dengan teknik pengambilan sampel metode random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua skala psikologi yaitu skala self efficacy dan skala student engagement dengan menggunakan model skala likert. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan koefisien korelasi rxy = 0.949 dengan p = 0,000 (p>0,050), artinya ada hubungan positif antara self efficacy dengan student engagement siswa. Dengan hasil tersebut, hipotesis dalam penelitian ini yaitu ada hubungan positif antara self efficacy dengan student engagement siswa diterima. Nilai koefisien korelasi menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan kedua variabel. Self efficacy memberikan sumbangan efektif, sebab hanya sebesar 90.1%. Mean empiric variable self efficacy yang diperoleh yaitu 110.00 sedangkan mean empiric variable student engagement sebesar 100.13 lalu untuk mean hipotetik variabel self efficacy sebesar 92.5 dan mean hipotetik variable Student engagement sebesar 85. This research aims to find out how the correlation between self-efficacy and student engagement at SMP N 1 Biru-biru. Self efficacy is the belief in an individual that is able to develop abilities and beliefs to produce good work results from effort and motivation within the individual. Student engagement is the involvement of students in activities at school both academically and non-academically. The research population consisted of 288 students from grades 1-3 of junior high school and 167 research samples were taken using the random sampling method. This study used two psychological scales, namely the self-efficacy scale and the student engagement scale using the Likert scale model. The results of this study show a correlation coefficient of rxy = 0.949 with p = 0.000 (p>0.050), meaning that there is a positive correlation between self-efficacy and student engagement. With these results, the hypothesis in this study there is a positive correlation between self-efficacy and student engagement is accepted. The value of the correlation coefficient indicates that there is correlation between two variables. Self efficacy made an effective contribution, because it is only 90.1%. The mean empirical variable of self-efficacy obtained is 110.00 while mean empirical of student engagement is 100.13 then for the hypothetical mean of self-efficacy variable is 92.5 and the mean hypothetical variable of Student engagement is 85.
