Hubungan Empati Dengan Perilaku Prososial Pada Siswa SMP Negeri 1 Hinai

Abstract

Perilaku prososial adalah tindakan yang dilakukan atau direncanakan untuk menolong orang lain tanpa mempedulikan motif-motif si penolong. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku prososial adalah empati.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara empati dan perilaku prososial pada siwsa di SMP N 1 HINAI Langkat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan perposive sampling untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian ini. Subjek penelitian yang digubakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 60 subjek penelitian dan diambil dari kelas IX SMP N 1 HINAI Langkat. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh kesimpulan ada hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara empati dengan perilaku prososial. Hasil tersebut ditunjukan dengan hasil koefesien rxy = 0,511 dengan sig = 0,000 (p<0,01). Tingkat variabel empati termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Rata-rata empiric (RE) untuk variabel empati sendiri adalah 85,52 dan rata-rata hipotetik (RH) variabel empatik sebesar 51. Tingkat perilaku prososial masuk dalam kategori tinggi. Rata-rata empirik (RE) 96,57 dan rata-rata hipotetik (RH) variabel perilaku prososial 75. Sumbangan efektif anatara empati dengan perilaku prososial pada siswa sebesar 26,1% ditunjukan dengan korelasi (r2) = 0,261%. Hal ini berarti masih terdapat 64,9% faktor lain yang mempengaruhi perilaku prososial. The aim of this research was to know the relation between empathy and prosocial behavior in students at SMP N 1 HINAI Langkat. The method that used in this research is quantitative and sampling technique are with purposive sampling to get the aim of this research. Subject of this research were 60 studentsof IX class at SMP N 1 HINAI Langkat. The result of this research found a very positive significant relation between empathy and prosocial behavior. It was shown by the value of coefficient rxy = 0.511 with sig = 0.000 (p<0,01). Empathy variable was including as high category. The empirical average empathy (RE) was 85.52 and the average hypothetic in 51. the prosocial behavior of this research also belongs to high. Prosocial behavior variable having an empirical average (RE) as much as 96.57 and hypothetic average (RH) as much as 75.Effective contributions between empathy and prosocial behavior in students was 26.1% with correlation (r2) = 0.261% which mean there are 64.9% another factors that can influence prosocial behavior.
