dc.description.abstractMentimun Jepang merupakan mentimun yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi yang banyak disukai oleh masyarakat Indonesia karena memiliki ciri khas tersendiri dibandingkan mentimun lokal. Namun produksi mentimun tergolong masih rendah, sehingga perlu adanya upaya meningkatkan produksi mentimun di Indonesia. Penambahan unsur hara melalui pemberian bahan organik dapat menjadi alternatif dari penggunaan pupuk kimia dalam meningkatkan produksi mentimun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk hayati Bioneensis dan mulsa jerami padi terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman mentimun Jepang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai bulan Agustus sampai November 2022 di Lahan Masyarakat depan Kantor Badan Penelitian Tembakau Deli. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial dengan 2 faktor yang diteliti, yaitu: 1. Faktor Pupuk Hayati Bioneensis (B) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf, B0 = Kontrol, B1 = 600 g/plot, B2 = 720 g/plot, B3 = 840 g/plot, 2. Faktor Mulsa Jerami Padi (M) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf, M0 = Kontrol, M1 = 0,6 kg/plot, M2 = 1,2 kg/plot, M3 = 1,8 kg/plot. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk hayati Bioneensis tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap diameter batang, diameter buah per sampel, dan bobot buah per sampel, namun berpengaruh nyata terhadap luas daun, jumlah buah per sampel, dan panjang buah per sampel. Pemberian mulsa jerami padi berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap diameter batang serta luas daun, dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah buah per sampel, panjang buah per sampel, dan diameter buah per sampel, serta tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot buah per sampel. Kombinasi pemberian pupuk hayati Bioneensis dan mulsa jerami padi berpengaruh nyata terhadap luas daun, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap diameter batang, jumlah buah per sampel, panjang buah per sampel, diameter buah per sampel, dan bobot buah per sampel. Perlakuan yang menyebabkan pertumbuhan dan produksi dengan nilai tertinggi yaitu pada perlakuan B2 (dosis 720 gram/plot) dan perlakuan M2 (dosis 1,2 kg/plot). Japanese cucumber is a cucumber that has high economic value which is liked by many Indonesian people because it has its own characteristics compared to local cucumber. However, cucumber production is still low, so need for efforts to increase cucumber production in Indonesia. The addition of nutrients through the provision of organic matter can be an alternative to the use of chemical fertilizers in increasing cucumber production. This research aims to determine the effect of giving Bioneensis biofertilizer and rice straw mulch on the growth and production of Japanese cucumber plant. This research was carried out from August to November 2022 on Community Land in front of the Deli Tobacco Research Agency Office. The method used in this research is a randomized block design in factorial with 2 factors studied, namely: 1. Factor of Bioneensis biofertilizer (B) which consisted of 4 levels, B0 = control, B1 = 600 g/plot, B2 = 720 g/plot plot, B3 = 840 g/plot, 2. Factor of Rice Straw Mulch (M) which consisted of 4 levels, M0 = control, M1 = 0.6 kg/plot, M2 = 1.2 kg/plot, M3 = 1, 8 kg/plot. The results of this research showed that the application of Bioneensis biofertilizer had no significant effect on stem diameter, fruit diameter per sample, and fruit weight per sample, but had a significant effect on leaf area, number of fruit per sample, and fruit length per sample. The application of rice straw mulch had a very significant effect on stem diameter and leaf area, and had a significant effect on the number of fruit per sample, fruit length per sample, and fruit diameter per sample, and had no significant effect on fruit weight per sample. The combination application of Bioneensis biofertilizer and rice straw mulch had a significant effect on leaf area, but had no significant effect on stem diameter, number of fruit per sample, fruit length per sample, fruit diameter per sample, and fruit weight per sample. The treatments that caused growth and production with the highest values are the B2 treatment (dose of 720 g/plot) and the M2 treatment (dose of 1.2 kg/plot).en_US
