Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara harga diri dengan minat membeli pakaian bermerek pada Mahasiswi di Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Harapan Medan. Berdasarkan penjabaran pada bah landasan teori, maka diajukan hipotesis penelitian yang berbunyi: Ada hubungan positif antara harga diri dengan minat membeli pakaian bermerek. Mahasiswi merasa memiliki harga diri yang tinggi maka minat membeli pakaian bermerek akan tinggi, sebaliknya mahasiswi yang memiliki harga diri yang rendah maka minat membeli pakaian bermerek akan semakin rendah. Berdasarkan analisis data yang menggunakan Analisis Korelasi Product Moment, maka diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: 1). Terdapat hubungan positif yang sangat siginifikan antara harga diri dengan minat membeli. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi fxy = 0,417 ; p < 0,010. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi rxy = 0,417 ; p < 0,010. Artinya semakin positif harga diri, maka semakin tinggi minat membeli, dan sebaliknya semakin negatif harga diri maka semakin rendah minat membeli. Dengan demikian maka hipotesis yang telah diajukan dalam penelitian ini, dinyatakan diterima. 2). Bahwa harga diri memberikan kontribusi sebesar 17,4% terhadap minat membeli. Dari hasil ini diketahui bahwa masih terdapat 82,6 % pengaruh dari faktor lain terhadap minat membeli, dimana faktor lain tersebut dalam penelitian ini tidak dilihat, diantaranya adalah faktor internal, faktor ekstemal, status ekonomi, dorongan, dan pengalaman. Secara umum mahasiswi Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Harapan memiliki harga diri yang tergolong sedang, sebab mean empirik (98,980) selisihnya dengan nilai rata-rata hipotetik (87,5) tidak melebihi bilangan SD atau SBnya, yakni 13,893. Kemudian minat membeli para mahasiswa juga tergolong sedang, sebab nilai rata-rata empirik (163,500) selisihnya dengan nilai rata-rata hipotetik (147,5) tidak melebihi bilangan SD atau SBnya, yakni 23,148. This study aims to see the relationship between self-esteem and interest in buying branded clothes in female students at the College of Science Medan Hope Economy. Based on the elaboration on the theoretical basis, then the hypothesis is proposed research that says: There is a positive relationship between self-esteem and interest buy branded clothes. Female students feel they have high self-esteem then the interest in buying branded clothes will be high, on the contrary female students are have low self-esteem then the interest in buying branded clothes will Getting lower. Based on data analysis using Product Correlation Analysis Moment, then the following results are obtained: 1). There is a positive relationship which is very significant between self-esteem and buying interest. this result evidenced by the correlation coefficient fxy = 0.417 ; p < 0.010. This result is proven with a correlation coefficient rxy = 0.417 ; p < 0.010. This means the more positive the price self, the higher the interest in buying, and conversely the more negative the price themselves, the lower the interest in buying. Thus, the hypothesis that have been submitted in this study, declared accepted. 2). That self esteem contributed 17.4% to buying interest. From this result it is known that there is still 82.6% of the influence of other factors on interest buy, where the other factors in this study were not seen, including internal factors, external factors, economic status, encouragement, and experience. In general, students of the Harapan Economics College have self-esteem which is classified as moderate, because the empirical mean (98.980) is the difference with the average hypothetical value (87.5) does not exceed its SD or SB numbers, ie 13,893. Then the buying interest of students is also classified as moderate, because the average empirical value (163.500) is the difference with the average hypothetical value (147.5) does not exceed the SD or SB numbers, namely 23.148.
