dc.description.abstractPada dasamya penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat Perbedaan Kecerdasan Emosi Siswa yang Mengikuti dan yang Tidak Mengikuti Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler Drum band di SMA Yayasan Pendidikan Teladan Serdang Bedagai. Diasumsik:an bahwa siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler kecerdasan emosi lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang tidak mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler kecerdasan emosi lebih rendah. Penelitian ini disusun berdasarkan metode skala Likert dengan menggunakan Skala Kecerdasan Emosi disusun berdasarkan aspek-aspek kecerdasan emosi menurut Goleman (2009) yaitu: Mengenali emosi diri, Mengelola emosi, Memotivasi diri sendiri , Mengenali emosi orang lain, dan Membina hubungan. Berdasarkan analisis data, maka diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut : 1) terdapat perbedaan kecerdasan emosi siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstra kurikuler dan yang tidak mengikuti kegiatan ekstra kurikuler. Hasil ini diketahui dengan melihat nilai atau koefisien Anava F = 320.003 dengan koefisien signifikansi 0,000. Hal ini berarti nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh lebih kecil dari 0,050. 2) Berdasarkan hasil ini berarti hipotesis yang diajukan diterima. Kegiatan ekstra kurikuler dalam penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi sebanyak 30% terhadap kecerdasan emosi, dan terdapat 70% kontribusi dari faktor yang lain. Hal ini sejalan Pada dasamya kecerdasan emosional dapat diasah dengan mengikuti kegiatan-kegiatan yang positif. Menurut Hapsari (2010) kegiatan di masa remaja sering hanya berkisar pada kegiatan sekolah dan seputar usaha menyelesaikan urusan di rumah, selain urusan tersebut remaja memiliki banyak waktu luang. Basically this research aims to see the difference Emotional Intelligence of Students Who Participate and Those Who Do Not Participate in Activities Drum band extracurricular at Serdang Teladan Education Foundation High School Begai. It is assumed that students who take part in extracurricular activities emotional intelligence is higher than students who do not participate in activities extracurricular emotional intelligence is lower. This research is arranged based on the Likert scale method using the Emotional Intelligence Scale was compiled based on aspects of emotional intelligence according to Goleman (2009), namely: Recognize your own emotions, Manage emotions, Motivate yourself, Recognize other people's emotions, and building relationships. Based on data analysis, then the following results are obtained: 1) there are differences in students' emotional intelligence who participate in extra-curricular activities and who do not participate in activities extra curricular. This result is known by looking at the value or coefficient of ANOVA F = 320,003 with a significance coefficient of 0.000. This means that the significance value obtained smaller than 0.050. 2) Based on this result means the hypothesis that submitted is accepted. Extra curricular activities in this study provide contribution of 30% to emotional intelligence, and there is a 70% contribution from other factors. This is basically in line with emotional intelligence honed by participating in positive activities. According to Hapsari (2010) activities in adolescence often only revolve around school activities and around efforts to complete the affairs at home, in addition to these affairs teenagers have lots of free time.en_US
