dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kemampuan daya hambat ekstrak daun senggani (M.candidum) terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri S.mutans dan S.aureus, dengan mengukur diameter zona hambat. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dua faktor yaitu pemberian ekstrak daun Senggani dengan taraf konsentrasi 25%, 50%, 75% dan 100%, aguadest sebagai kontrol negatif dan antibiotik klorampenikol sebagai kontrol positif. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 6 perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan. Data yg dikumpulkan selama penelitian berlangsung dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam dan DMRT pada taraf α = 5 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun senggani dapat menghambat pertumbuhan S.mutans dengan diameter zona hambat terbesar ditunjukkan oleh konsentrasi 100% yaitu 6, 17 mm dan diameter zona hambat terkecil terdapat pada konsentrasi 25% yaitu 3,11 mm. Sedangkan pada S.aureus pemberian ekstrak daun senggani menunjukkan diameter zona hambat yang tidak berbeda nyata pada semua perlakuan. This study aims to test the inhibition ability of senggani (M.candidum) leaf extract on the growth of S.mutans and S.aureus bacteria, by measuring the diameter of the inhibition zone. This research method used a two-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD), namely Senggani leaf extract with concentration levels of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%, aguadest as a negative control and the antibiotic chloramphenicol as a positive control. This study consisted of 6 treatments with 3 replications. Data collected during the study were analyzed using variance and DMRT at α = 5%. The results showed that senggani leaf extract could inhibit the growth of S. mutans with the largest inhibition zone diameter indicated by 100% concentration, namely 6.17 mm and the smallest inhibition zone diameter was found at 25% concentration, namely 3.11 mm. Whereas in S.aureus the administration of senggani leaf extract showed that the diameter of the inhibition zone was not significantly different in all treatments. | en_US |
