Abstract: Oil Cooler merupakan alat penukar kalor dengan type AEP dengan susunan tube segitiga (tringuler) untuk mendinginkan oil (minyak pelumas) yang menjadi panas setelah beredar dalam mantel air pendingin pada mesin, pada umumnya oil cooler terpasang pada bagian samping yang dihubungkan ke blok silinder. Pada Oil Cooler System pendinginan yang terjadi yaitu sistem pendingin tertutup, sistem aliran (sirkulasi air dingin), minyak panas dari mesin akan masuk oil cooler dan kelaur menuju oil filter yang akan disirkulasikan kedalam mesin kembali, aliran minyak panas dari mesin di atur oleh by pass valve tertutup kembali. Oil cooler yang menyusun rancang digunakan utuk kendaraan niaga khususnya colt diesel jenis FE 120 Ps, dengan isi silinder 6.545 cc yang menghasilkan daya 120/3200 rpm maka oil cooler untuk dirancang harus mampu mendinginkan oil (minyak pelumas) dengan cepat untuk menurunkan temperatur oil sekaligus mengurangi temperatur oil sekaligus mengurangi temperatur kerja mesin yang sangat tinggi yaitu mencapai (800 - 1000 °C) Oil Cooler is a heat exchanger with the AEP type with a tube arrangement triangular (tringular) to cool the hot oil (lubricating oil). after circulating in the cooling water jacket on the engine, generally oil cooler mounted on the side connected to the cylinder block. On Oil Coolers The cooling system that occurs is a closed cooling system, a flow system (cold water circulation), hot oil from the engine will enter the oil cooler and exit to the oil filter which will be circulated into the engine again, the flow of oil heat from the engine is regulated by the closed by-pass valve again. The oil cooler compile designs used for commercial vehicles, especially colt diesel FE types 120 Ps, with 6,545 cc cylinder contents which produce 120/3200 rpm power, oil cooler to be designed must be able to cool the oil (lubricating oil) with quickly to lower the oil temperature while reducing the oil temperature while reducing the very high working temperature of the engine, reaching (800 - 1000 °C)
