dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah stres akademik dapat mempengaruhi munculnya gejala fisik psikosomatis pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas X. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi yang berjumlah 1042 dan setelah dilakukannya screening untuk sampel dalam penelitian ini didapat 110 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik total sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan model skala likert dengan dua skala, yaitu skala Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents (ESSA) dan skala gejala fisik psikosomatis yang disusun oleh peneliti berdasarkan empat gejala fisik psikosomatis. Dari hasil uji hipotesis regresi linear sederhana diperoleh koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,418, yang mengandung pengertian bahwa pengaruh stres akademik terhadap gejala fisik psikosomatis adalah sebesar 41,8%, sedangkan sisanya yakni 58,2% gejala fisik psikosomatis dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini seperti faktor sosial dan ekonomi, pernikahan, kesehatan, peristiwa hidup, spiritualitas, dan tipe kepribadian. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa stres akademik dapat mempengaruhi gejala fisik psikosomatis. Hasil analisis data mean hipotetik dan mean empirk dengan dibuktikan dari kurva normal variabel stres akademik dapat terlihat stres akademik mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas X tergolong tinggi dimana mean hipotetik (67,5) < mean empirik (77,43) dan selisihnya melebihi nilai bilangan satu SD (7,808). Untuk kurva normal variabel gejala fisik psikosomatis terlihat bahwa gejala fisik psikosomatis Fakultas Psikologi Universitas X juga tergolong tinggi dimana nilai mean hipotetik (57,5) < mean empirik (67,66) selisihnya melebihi nilai bilangan satu SD (8,791). Dari hasil ini maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat stress akademik yang dialami oleh mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas X, maka semakin tinggi pula gejala fisik psikosomatis yang dirasakan oleh mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas X. This study aims to see whether academic stress can affect the emergence of psychosomatic physical symptoms in students of the Faculty of Psychology, X University. The population in this study was 1042 students of the Faculty of Psychology and after screening for the sample in this study, 110 were obtained. The sampling technique used is the total sampling technique. Data was collected using a Likert scale model with two scales, namely the Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents (ESSA) scale and the psychosomatic physical symptom scale compiled by researchers based on four psychosomatic physical symptoms. From the results of the simple linear regression hypothesis test, the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.418, which implies that the effect of academic stress on psychosomatic physical symptoms is 41.8%, while the remaining 58.2% of psychosomatic physical symptoms is influenced by other factors that are not examined in this study such as social and economic factors, marriage, health, life events, spirituality, and personality type. From the results of this study it can be concluded that academic stress can affect psychosomatic physical symptoms. The results of the data analysis of the hypothetical mean and empirical mean are proven by the normal curve of the academic stress variable, it can be seen that the academic stress of the students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of X is classified as high where the hypothetical mean (67.5) < empirical mean (77.43) and the difference exceeds the number one elementary school. For the normal curve of the psychosomatic physical symptoms variable, it can be seen that the psychosomatic physical symptoms of the Faculty of Psychology, X University are also relatively high where the hypothetical mean value (57.5) < empirical mean (67.66) the difference exceeds the number one elementary school (8.791). From these results it can be concluded that the higher the level of academic stress experienced by students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of X, the higher the psychosomatic physical symptoms felt by students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of X.en_US
