Hubungan antara Body Image dengan Kepercayaan Diri pada Remaja Putri Kelas X di SMA Panca Budi Kota Medan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara body image dengan kepercayaan diri remaja putri kelas x di SMA Panca Budi Kota Medan. Pendekatan pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Subyek penelitian ini yaitu remaja putri kelas x SMA Panca Budi dengan sample penelitian sebanyak 81 remaja putri. Metode pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Total Sampling. Metode analisis data dengan r Product Moment. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala body image dan skala kepercayaan diri. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala likert untuk body image dan kepercayaan diri. Hipotesis penelitian ini terdapat hubungan positif antara body image dengan kepercayaan diri pada remaja putri di SMA Panca Budi Kota Medan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang dilakukan, perhitungan pada analisis korelasi r Product Moment dengan nilai koefisien rxy = 0,471 dan koefisien determinan (r2) = 0,222 dengan p=0,000. Ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara body image dan kepercayaan diri. Body image berkontribusisebesar 20,20% terhadap kepercayaan diri. Selanjutnya dilihat dari perhitungan mean hipotetik = 110,000 dan mean empirik = 108,309 serta standar deviasi 22.567 diketahui bahwa body image dalam kategori sedang. Begitu pun dengan kepercayaan diri dengan perhitungan mean hipotetik = 45,000 dan mean empiric = 50,395 dengan standar deviasi = 8.329 bahwa kepercayaan diri dalam kategori sedang. Dengan demikian hipotesis diterima. This research aims to determine the correlation between body image and the self confidence of young women class x at SMA Panca Budi Medan. The approach in this study uses a correlational quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were young women class x at SMA Panca Budi with a sample of 81 students. The data collection method of this research uses purposive sampling. Data analysis method with r Product Moment. This study uses a body image scale and self confidence scale. Data collection uses a Likert scale for body image and self confidence. The research hypothesis is that there is a positive relationship between body image and self-confidence in young women at SMA Panca Budi Medan. Based on the results of the data analysis performed, the calculation on the correlation analysis of r Product Moment with a coefficient of rxy = 0.471 and the coefficient of determinant (r2) = 0.222 with p = 0.000. This shows that body image has a contribution of 20.20% on self-confidence. Furthermore, seen from the calculation of the hypothetical mean = 110,000 and the empirical mean = 108,309 and the standard deviation of 22,567 it is known that body image is in the medium category. Likewise with confidence with the calculation of the hypothetical mean = 45,000 and the empirical mean = 50,395 with a standard deviation = 8,329 that confidence is in the medium category. The hypothesis is accepted.
