dc.description.abstract | Sensor jarak adalah sensor mampu mendeteksi keberadaan bendadekatnya tanpa kontak fisik.Sebuah sensor jarak sering memancarkan medan elektromagnetik atau sinar radiasi elektromagnetik (inframerah, misalnya), dan mencari perubahan di 1apangan atau sinyal kembali. Obyek yang merasakan sering disebut sebagai target sensor jarak itu. Target sensor jarak yang berbeda menuntut sensor yang berbeda. Sebagai contoh, sebuah sensor kapasitif fotolistrik mungkin cocok untuk target plastik, sebuah sensor jarak induktif(Proximity) selalu memerlukan target logam. Sensor jarak dapat memiliki keandalan yang tinggi dan kehidupan fungsional panjang karena tidak adanya bagian mekanik dan kurangnya kontak fisik antara sensor dan obyek merasakan sebuah sensor jarak disesuaikan dengan rentang yang sangat singkat sering digunakan sebagai saklar sentuh yang dapat mendeteksi kedatangan suatu benda logam. Analog Digital Converter (ADC) adalah alat yang dapat mengkonversi tegangan listrik digital ke tegangan listrik analog dan sebaliknya dari tegangan listrik analog ke tegangan listrik digital, salah satu peralatan ADC tersebut adalah Labjack U3-LV. Pengaturan frekuensi pengambilan pacta ADC sangan berperan untuk keakuratan pengukuran waktu.
