Alat penukar kalor juga merupakan bagian yang penting dari alat-alat sistem refrifgasi. Alat ini memiliki peranan penting pada unit operasi tersebut. Hal inilah yang menjadi dasar bagi penulis untuk merancang salah satu jenis alat penukar kalor yaitu kondensor pada Ice Skating. Kondensor secara garis besar berfungsi mencairkan refrigeran dalam keadaan uap bertekanan dan bertemparatur tinggi yang keluar dari kompressor sekaligus melepaskan dan membuang panas ke media pendingin.
