Hubungan Antara Konsep Diri Dengan Agresivitas Pada Anggota Sat Samapta Polrestabes Medan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konsep diri dengan agresivitas pada anggota Sat Sabhara Polrestabes Medan. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan negatif antara konsep diri dengan agresivitas. Artinya semakin positif konsep diri maka agresivitas semakin rendah dan sebaliknya semakin negatif konsep diri maka semakin tinggi agresivitasnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan dua skala variabel, yaitu skala konsep diri dan agresivitas. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah anggota Satsabhara Polrestabes Medan, dengan jumlah responden 74 orang. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan menetapkan kriteria tertentu pada sampel. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode penyebaran kuesioner dengan skala ukur psikologis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik korelasi product moment dari Karl Pearson dengan bantuan analisis program SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for windows release 20.00. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat konsep diri anggota Sat Sabhara Polrestabes Medan berada pada kategori tinggi 18,9%, kategori sedang 63,5%, dan kategori rendah 17,6%. Sedangkan tingkat agresivitas anggota Sat Sabhara Polrestabes Medan pada katori tinggi 14,9%, kategori sedang 73,0%, dan kategori rendah 12,2%. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh negatif yang signifikan hubungan antara konsep diri dengan agresivitas pada responden dengan Rxy = -0,508 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Artinya semakin tinggi konsep diri maka semakin rendah agresivitas individu, sebaliknya semakin rendah konsep diri maka semakin tinggi agresivitasnya. This study aims to determine the relation’s between self-concept and aggressiveness in members of the Sat Sabhara Polrestabes Medan. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a negative relationship between self-concept and aggressiveness. This means that the more positive the selfconcept, the lower the aggressiveness and conversely the more negative the selfconcept, the higher the aggressiveness. This study uses quantitative methods with two variable scales, namely the self-concept scale and aggressiveness. The population in this study were members of the Satsabhara Polrestabes Medan, with 74 respondents. The sample used in this study uses a purposive sampling technique by setting certain criteria on the sample. The method of data collection used the method of distributing questionnaires with a psychological measuring scale. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis in this study is the moment product correlation technique from Karl Pearson with the help of SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) program analysis for windows release 20.00. The results showed that the level of self-concept in members of the Sat Sabhara Polrestabes Medan was in the high category 18.9%, in the medium category 63.5%, and in the low category 17.6%. While the level of aggressiveness of members of the Sat Sabhara Polrestabes Medan in the high katori 14.9%, in the medium category 73.0%, and in the low category 12.2%. The results of the correlative test showed that there was a significant negative relationship between self-concept and aggressiveness in respondents with an Rxy = - 0.508 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. This means that the higher the selfconcept, the lower the aggressiveness of the individual, conversely the lower the self- concept, the higher the aggressiveness.
