Abstract: Penelitian ini berfokus pada administrasi kepegawaian di Indonesia, yang diatur oleh Undang-Undang Nomor 43 tahun 1999, yang merupakan modifikasi dari Undang-Undang Nomor 8 tahun 1974 tentang Pokok-Pokok Kepegawaian. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi administrasi layanan kepegawaian di Kantor Kecamatan Galang, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, dengan melibatkan 10 informan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pengawasan layanan kepegawaian mencakup berbagai aspek, seperti perencanaan, rekrutmen, penempatan, dan pemberhentian pegawai. Kantor Kecamatan Galang mengikuti proses khusus untuk perencanaan, rekrutmen, dan penempatan pegawai. Pengawasan dilakukan oleh beberapa pihak berwenang, termasuk Kepala Bagian Umum dan Kepegawaian serta Kepala Kecamatan Galang. This research focuses on personnel administration in Indonesia, governed by Law No. 43 of 1999, which is an amendment to Law No. 8 of 1974 concerning Civil Service fundamentals. The study explores personnel service administration at the Galang Subdistrict Office, Deli Serdang Regency, involving 10 informants. Data was collected through field observations, interviews, and document analysis. Findings indicate that personnel service oversight encompasses various aspects, such as planning, recruitment, placement, and employee termination. The Galang Subdistrict Office follows specific procedures for employee planning, recruitment, and placement, with oversight by several authorities, including the Head of General Affairs and Personnel and the Galang Subdistrict Head.
