Hubungan Harga Diri Dengan Perilaku Altruisme Pada Remaja Di Panti Asuhan Darul Aitam Medan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan harga diri dengan perilaku altruisme pada remaja di Panti Asuhan Darul Aitam Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 39 remaja dan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 39 remaja. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu remaja di Panti Asuhan Darul Aitam Medan. Sejalan dengan pembahasan yang terdapat dalam landasan teori, maka hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan positif antara harga diri dengan perilaku altruisme. Dengan asumsi semakin tinggi harga diri maka semakin tinggi perilaku altruisme pada remaja. Demikian pula sebaliknya, semakin rendah harga diri maka semakin rendah perilaku altruism pada remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala harga diri dan skala perilaku altruisme. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis korelasi product moment. Hasil analisis diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara harga diri dengan perilaku altruisme dilihat dari koefisien linieritas RXy = 0,471 dengan p = 0,000 > 0,05. Nilai koefisien determinan (𝑟2 ) 0,222 atau sebesar 22,2%. Artinya adalah bahwa harga diri dari remaja tersebut berkontribusi sebesar 22,2% terhadap perilaku altruism remaja di Panti Asuhan Darul Aitam Medan. Dari hasil penelitian ini, maka hipotesis yang diajukan dinyatakan diterima. This study aims to determine the relationship between self esteem and altruistic behavior in adolescents at the Darul Aitam Medan Orphanage. The population in this study were 39 teenagers and the sample used was 39 teenagers. The method used in this researchis quantitative method. The subjectsof this study were teenagers at the Darul Aitam Medan Orphanage. In line with the discussion contained in the theoretical basis, the hypothesis proposedin this study is that there is a positive relationship between self-esteem and altruistic behavior. Assuming the higher self-esteem, the higher altruistic behavior in adolescents. Vice versa, the lower self-esteem, the lower the altruistic behavior of adolescents. This research uses self-esteem scale and altruistic behavior scale. Data collectionis done using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used in this study is the product moment correlation analysis technique. The results of the analysis note that there is a significant positive relationship between self-esteem and altruistic behavior seen from the linearity coefficient R_xy = 0,471 with p = 0,000 > 0,05. The value of the determinant coefficient (r ^ 2) 0,222 or equal to 22,2%. The meaning is that the self-esteem of these teenagers contributed 22,2% to th ealtruistic behaviorof Darul Aitam Medan Orphanage teenagers.From the results of this study,the hypothesis proposed was accepted.
