Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi komunikasi interpersonal pada perilaku anak broken home dengan orang tua dalam keluarga dan apa saja faktor-faktor penghambat komunikasi interpersonal antara anak broken home dengan orang tua dalam keluarga. Peneliti menggun metode deskriftif kualitatif. Informan peneliti adalah warga Desa Tanjung Barus yang mengalami kondisi beroken home. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumblah 5 orang dengan menggunakan teknik triangulas i. Data dari penelitian dikumpulkan berdasrkan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu, observasi, wawa - ncara, dan dokumentasi. Teori yang di gunakan yaitu teori komunikasi interpersonal, dimana Komunikasi interpersonal ialah sebuah komunikasi yang dijalankan oleh dua orang dengan sifat yang privat dan eksklusif, artinya komunikasi ini identik dengan tatapan langsung atau face to face. Dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa perceraiaan orang tua sangat mempengaruhi tumbuh kembangnya anak apalagi penyebab perceraian orang tua mereka karena kasus KDRT ataupun Perselingkuhan. This study aims to find out how the interpersonal communication strategy is on the behavior of broken home children and their parents in the family and what are the inhibiting factors of interpersonal communication between broken home children and their parents in the family. Researchers use qualitative descriptive method. The research informants were residents of Tanjung Barus Village who experienced the condition of being driven home. There were 5 informants in this study using the triangulation technique. Data from the research were collected based on data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The theory used is interpersonal communication theory, where interpersonal communication is a communication carried out by two people with a private and exclusive nature, meaning that this communication is synonymous with direct gaze or face to face. From this study it is known that the divorce of parents greatly affects the growth and development of children, especially the cause of their parents' divorce due to cases of domestic violence or infidelity.
