This study aims to determine the relationship between self-adjustment and academic stress in Al-Masdar Middle School students. The type of research used is quantitative with quantitative methods with a total sample of 73 students. Adjustment in this study was measured by aspects according to Haber & Runyon (2012): Perception, Adaptation, Optimism, Expression, Interpersonal Relations. Academic stress in this study was measured based on aspects according to Sun, Dunne and Hou (2011), namely: Learning Pressure, Workload, Worries about Values, Self Expectations. Desperation Based on the results of the normality and linearity assumption tests it was concluded that the x and y variables met the normality assumptions and met the linearity assumptions, the analysis used was Product moment correlation analysis from Pearson. Based on the calculation results of Pearson's Product moment correlation analysis, it can be seen that there is a negative relationship between adjustment and academic stress. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = -0.414, with a significant p = 0.000 <0.05. The determinant coefficient (r2) of the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable is r2= 0.171. This shows that self-adjustment has a distribution of 17.1% of academic stress. | en_US |
