Hubungan Antara Pola Asuh Demokratis dengan Empati pada Siswa di SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Medan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara pola asuh demokratis dengan empati pada siswa di SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Medan. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pearson product moment. Populasi dalam penelitian dipilih dengan menggunakan metode screening test pola asuh demokratis, maka didapat siswa sebanyak 82 orang di SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Medan. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah adanya hubungan positif antara pola asuh demokratis dengan empati pada siswa di SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Medan, dimana semakin tinggi pola asuh demokratis maka semakin tinggi pula empati. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan angket. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh ada hubungan antara pola asuh demokratis dengan empati dengan koefisien korelasi (rxy sebesar 0,820 dengan signifikan p= 0,000<0,005). Hasil analisis variabel pola asuh demokratis dengan nilai empirik yaitu sebesar 131,293 dan nilai hipotetik sebesar 107.500 yang berarti pola asuh demokratis subjek penelitian tergolong tinggi. variabel empati mempunyai nilai empirik sebesar 138,524 dan nilai hipotetik sebesar 100.000 yang berarti empati pada subjek penelitian tergolong tinggi. Sumbangan efektif pola asuh demokratis terhadap empati sebesar 67,30%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 32,7%, yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak diteliti oleh peneliti. Hal ini menunjukkan variabel pola asuh demokratis mempengaruhi variabel empati. This study aims to look at the correlation between democratic parenting and empathy in students at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Medan. The data collection method uses a purposive sampling method. The hypothesis put forward is that there is a positive relationship between democratic parenting styles and empathy for students at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Medan, where the higher the democratic parenting style, the higher the empathy. Data collection techniques are carried out by distributing questionnaires. Based on the analysis results obtained, there is a relationship between conversion parenting and empathy with a correlation coefficient (rxy of 0.820 with a significant p = 0.000 <0.005). The results of the analysis of the parenting conversion variable with an empirical value of 131.293 and a hypothetical value of 107,500, which means that the conversion parenting style of the research subjects is classified as high. the empathy variable has an empirical value of 138.524 and a hypothetical value of 100,000 which means that empathy for the research subject is high. The effective contribution of democratic parenting to empathy is 67.30%, while the remaining 32.7%, which is influenced by other factors not examined by researchers. This shows that the democratic parenting variable influences the empathy variable.
