dc.description.abstract | Mesin internal mixer adalah mesin pencampur biji plastik dengan serbuk karbon aktif, Mesin pencampur ini didesain berbentuk horizontal. Mesin mixer ini memiliki prinsip kerjanya adalah melelehkan dan mengaduk untuk mencampur material Biji Plastik (Polypropiline) dengan Serbuk Karbon Aktif Tempurung Kelapa sehingga mencapai pencampuran yang homogen, kerja mesin berupa putaran motor yang di transmisikan ke gearbox kemudian menggerakan rotor/mata pisau dengan dua arah putaran yang berlawanan. Dalam proses pelelehan biji plastik menggunakan elemen pemanas listrik Cartridge Heater. Suhu maksimal elemen pemanas tersebut adalah 300°C. Pelelehan dan Pencampuran biji plastik menggunakan suhu yang berbeda yaitu 200°C, 250°C dan 300°C. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk dilakukan analisis perpindahan panas yang terjadi pada ruang aduk pada masing-masing suhu. Pada saat suhu heater 200°C didapat nilai perpindahan panas sebesar 813,68 W. Pada saat suhu heater 250°C didapat nilai perpindahan panas sebesar 587,13 W. Pada saat suhu heater 300°C didapat nilai perpindahan panas sebesar 440,82 W. The internal mixer machine is a mixing machine for plastic pellets with activated carbon powder. This mixing machine is designed to be horizontal. This mixer machine uses the working principle of melting and stirring to mix the plastic seed material (polypropylene) with coconut shell. Activated Carbon Powder so as to achieve homogeneous mixing, the work of the machine is in the form of motor rotation, which is transmitted to the gearbox, which then moves the rotor or blade with two directions of rotation in the opposite direction. the process of melting plastic pellets using an electric heating element The maximum temperature of the heating element is 300°C. Melting and mixing of plastic pellets uses different temperatures, namely 200°C, 250°C, and 300°C. The purpose of setting the different temperatures is to analyze the heat transfer that occurs in the stirring chamber at each temperature. When the heater temperature is 200°C, the heat transfer value is 813,68 W. When the heater temperature is 250°C, the heat transfer value is 587,13 W.
