Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dengan kemandirian belajar siswa di SMP Swasta Al Mukmin Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Swasta Al Mukmin Medan yang berjumlah 150 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Cluster Sampling. Hasil analis data menunjukkan koefisien korelasi r(xy)= 0,747 dengan p = 0,000 (p < 0,05), artinya bahwa ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dengan kemandirian belajar. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi kepercayaan diri maka semakin tinggi kemandirian belajar, sebaliknya semakin rendah kepercayaan diri, maka semakin rendah pula kemandirian belajar. Dari hasil analisis ini diketahui bahwa kepercayaan diri SMP Swasta Al Mukmin Medan tergolong rendah (mean empirik = 62,93 < mean hipotetik = 72,5) demikian juga kemandirian belajar siswa tergolong rendah (mean empirik= 69,47 < mean hipotetik = 80. Adapun koefisien determinasi ditemukan sebesar r2 = 0,558 berarti bahwa kepercayaan diri memberikan sumbangan terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa sebesar 55,8% This study aims to determine the relationship between self-confidence and student learning independence at Al Mukmin Private Junior High School Medan. This research uses quantitative research methods. The subjects in this study were students of Al Mukmin Private Junior High School Medan, totaling 150 students. The sampling technique uses the Cluster Sampling technique. The results of data analysts show a correlation coefficient of r_(xy )= 0.747 with p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), meaning that there is a significant positive relationship between selfconfidence and learning independence From the results of this analysis, it is known that the self-confidence of Al Mukmin Medan Private Junior High School is relatively low (empirical mean = 62.93 < hypothetical mean = 72.5) as well as students' learning independence is relatively low (empirical mean = 69.47 < hypothetical mean = 80. The coefficient of determination found to be r2 = 0.558 means that confidence contributes to students' learning independence by 55.8%.
