Hubungan antara Self-Control dengan Nomophobia pada Mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Medan Area

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat adakah hubungan antara self-control dengan nomophobia pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area, Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 108 orang. Hasil analisis penelitian di Universitas Medan Area, terdapat adanya hubungan antara variabel x dengan variabel y dilihat dari nilai koefisien (Rxy) yang memiliki nilai -0.612 dengan p atau signifikansinya 0.000 < 0.050. dengan ini adanya hubungan antara selfcontrol dengan nomophobia, dimana semakin tinggi self-control maka akan semakin rendah nomophobia yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Analisis data dapat menunjukan hasil koefisien korelasi rxy = -0,612, dengan Signifikan p= 0,000 < 0,05. Koefisien determinan (r2 ) dari hubungan antara variabel x dan variabel y adalah (r2)= 0,374. Ini menunjukkan bahwa self-control berkontribusi sebesar 25,82% sedangkan nomophobia berkontribusi sebesar 64,01%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan self-control yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area stambuk 2019 tergolong rendah dan nomophobia yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa psikologi Universitas Medan Area tergolong tinggi. This research was conducted to see whether there was a relationship between self-control and nomophobia in students at the Faculty of Psychology, Medan Area University. The population in this study was 108 people. The results of research analysis at Medan Area University, there is a relationship between variable x and variable y seen from the coefficient value (Rxy) which has a value of -0.612 with p or significance 0.000 < 0.050. With this, there is a relationship between self-control and nomophobia, where the higher the self-control, the lower the nomophobia that students at the Faculty of Psychology, Medan Area University will have. Data analysis can show the results of the correlation coefficient rxy = -0.612, with significant p= 0.000 < 0.05. The determinant coefficient (r2) of the relationship between variable x and variable y is (r2)= 0.374. This shows that self-control contributed 25.82% while nomophobia contributed 64.01%. The results of this research show that the self-control possessed by students from the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Medan Area Stambuk 2019 is relatively low and the nomophobia possessed by psychology students at the University of Medan Area is classified as high.
