dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui serta menganalisis perbedaan kepribadian ekstrovert-introvert pada kecenderungan impulsive buying mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 264 mahasiswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data memakai skala impulsive buying dengan model skala likert dan screening impulsive buying dan screening kepribadian ekstrovert-introvert. Uji homogenitas penelitian adalah 0,212. Mean hipotetik kepribadian ekstrovert sebesar 67,5 Mean hipotetik kepribadian introvert sebesar 67,5. Mean hipotetik kepribadian ekstrovert sebesar 76,53 Mean empirik kepribadian introvert sebesar 55,71. Analisis data penelitian ini memakai Uji T test independent. Reliabilitas penelitian memakai teknik Cronbach Alpha sebesar 0,870. Berlandaskan hasil dari analisis data homogenitas yang telah dilakukan, maka terdapat nilai T-test t = 29,743 dengan p = 0,000 < 0,05. Hipotesis dari penelitian ini berarti diterima yaitu dengan adanya perbedaan kepribadian ekstrovert-introvert pada kecenderungan impulsive buying. Dengan asumsi yang memiliki tipe kepribadian ekstrovert memiliki kecenderungan impulsive buying yang lebih tinggi daripada individu dengan tipe kepribadian introvert. This study aims to determine and analyze the differences in extroverted-introverted personalities on the tendency of impulsive buying of students of the Faculty of Psychology, Medan Area University. The number of samples in this study were 264 students. Sampling using total sampling technique. This study uses quantitative research methods. The data collection technique uses an impulsive buying scale with a Likert scale model and impulsive buying screening and extrovert-introvert personality screening. The homogeneity test of the study was 0.212. Hypothetical mean of extroverted personality is 67.5 Hypothetical mean of introverted personality is 67.5. Hypothetical mean of extroverted personality is 76.53 Empirical mean of introverted personality is 55.71. This research data analysis uses an independent T test. Research reliability using Cronbach Alpha technique is 0.870. Based on the results of the homogeneity data analysis that has been carried out, there is a T-test value of t = 29.743 with p = 0.000 <0.05. The hypothesis of this study means that it is accepted, namely the existence of extroverted-introverted personality differences in impulsive buying tendencies. With the assumption that those with extroverted personality types have a higher tendency to impulsive buying than individuals with introverted personality types.en_US
