dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh pola asuh demokratis orang tua terhadap disiplin siswa kelas XI di SMA Swasta Kartini Utama Sei Rampah dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan metode kuantitatif. Dengan populasi ssebanyak 122 siswa setelah melakukan screening maka ditetapkan sebanyak 88 siswa yang dijadikan sampel. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan skala pola asuh demokratis dan skala disiplin siswa yang di ukur menggunakan skala likert. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Korelasi Product Moment. Pola asuh demokratis tergolong tinggi dengan (mean hipotetik 45 < dan mean empirik 78,7 dimana selisih nya melebihi SD), dan untuk disiplin siswa tergolong sedang dengan (mean hipotetik 47,5 dan mean empirik 51,9 dimana selisihnya lebih dari SD). Sementara itu dari perhitungan uji korelasi hipotesis telah ditemukan hasil pengaruh pola asuh demokratis orang tua terhadap siswa kelas XI di SMA Swasta Kartini Utama Sei Rampah yaitu sebesar 44,8%. Maka dapat dikatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara pola asuh demokratis orang tua terhadap disiplin siswa. This research aims to find out how much influence parents' democratic parenting style has on the discipline of class XI students at Kartini Utama Sei Rampah Private High School by using descriptive research with quantitative methods. With a population of 122 students, after screening, 88 students were determined as samples. The sampling technique uses a purposive sampling technique. The data collection tool uses a democratic parenting style scale and a student discipline scale which is measured using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique uses Product Moment Correlation. Democratic parenting is classified as high with (hypothetical mean 45 < and empirical mean 78.7 where the difference is more than SD), and for student discipline it is classified as moderate with (hypothetical mean 47.5 and empirical mean 51.9 where the difference is more than SD). Meanwhile, from the calculation of the hypothesis correlation test, the results of the influence of parents' democratic parenting style on class XI students at Kartini Utama Sei Rampah Private High School were found to be 44.8%. So it can be said that there is an influence between parents' democratic parenting style on student discipline.en_US
