This study aims to determine the differences in work stress in terms of mechanical engineering division and loading and unloading division of PT PKS Serdang Hulu employees. The sample used amounted to 48 people using total sampling technique. This study uses a psychological scale, namely the job stress scale. The analysis technique was carried out with one-way variance analysis. Based on the results of one way analysis, it was found that there were differences in work stress in the mechanical engineering and loading and unloading divisions. This result is known by looking at the coefficient of difference with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.050 which indicates that the significance value is smaller than 0.050. Thus, the hypothesis that there are differences in work stress in terms of the mechanical engineering division and the loading and unloading division is accepted. From the results of the hypothetical mean test, it is known that the level of stress is determined using a scale of 67 items, indicating that work stress in the mechanical engineering division and the loading and unloading division is high where the empirical mean value is 176 > hypothetical mean value 145, the mechanical engineering division looks empirical mean 183.1034 > hypothetical mean value 145, and the loading and unloading division with an empirical mean value of 171.3580 > hypothetical mean value 145. With 79.31% of mechanical engineering division employees caused by psychological aspects, and in the loading and unloading division with 84.21% by physical aspects.en_US
