dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konformitas dengan perilaku konsumtif belanja online pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Teknik sampel yang digunakan yaitu random sampling dengan total sampel sebanyak 84 mahasiswa dari total populasi. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala konformitas dan skala perilaku konsumtif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi, didapatkan hasil signifikansi korelasi p = 0,007 < 0,05, artinya ada hubungan antara konformitas dan perilaku konsumtif belanja online pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area, dengan koefisien determinan ) sebesar 0,115 dan sumbangsih sebesar 11,5%. Dengan kata lain hipotesis diterima. Konformitas tergolong rendah (mean empirik = 35, mean hipotetik = 35,00 dimana selisih nya lebih dari bilangan sd = 4,358) dan untuk perilaku konsumtif tergolong rendah (mean empirik = 55,99 < mean hipotetik = 62,5 dimana selisihnya lebih dari bilangan SD = 7,872) This article aims to determine the relationship between conformity and online shopping consumptive behavior among students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Medan Area. This research method uses quantitative methods. The sample technique used israndom sampling with a total sample of 84 students from the total population. The data collection method in this study uses a conformity scale and a consumptive behavior scale. The data analysis technique used the correlation technique, the results obtained a significant correlation p = 0.007 <0.05, meaning that there is a relationship between conformity and consumptive online shopping behavior among students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Medan Area, with a determinant coefficient of 0.115 and a contribution of 11,5%. In other words the hypothesis is accepted. Conformity is classified as low (empirical mean = 35, hypothetical mean = 35.00 where the difference is more than sd number = 4.358) and consumptive behavior is low (empirical mean = 55.99 < hypothetical mean = 62.5 where the difference is more than SD = 7.872).en_US
